RE: 2007 Jayco Seneca

We've got an 08 35GS which now has 42,000 miles on it and it has been basically flawless. It has gone North, South, East and West over mountains, hills and dales and handles them all wonderfully pulling a " toad" at or probably a little over GCVW.

RE: Home from our trip to Disney

Glad you had a safe and enjoyable trip. WDW is our home away from home. It is absolutely terrible when we have to leave. :(
What site were you on? As was already mentioned, start planning the next visit. :)

RE: refrigerator fan cycles

No matter whether it is for the converter or the fridge, it's doing what it is supposed to do when it cycles.

RE: Norcold refrigerator Problems?

As j-d said it might have been in the defrost cycle. Absorbtion refrigerators work best when full since the product inside helps hold the temp.

RE: Slow cooling fridge?

If you go to Dometic's web site you can download the user's manual for your particular model.

RE: Slow cooling fridge?

You need to adjust the thermistor, the little wire on the fins in back of the fridge. It should be attached to plastic clip, the higher it is on the fin the colder the fridge. It does not affect the freezer.

RE: Jayco vs Coachmen

JAYCO gives you a 2 yr warranty. We're on our 2nd JAYCO mh and only minor issues, 99% of those were with appliances, etc.

RE: Innovations that nearly work

There have been some units on the market already with decks, mainly class "A", but you don't see many if at all since it didn't sell.

RE: Kwikee Steps

The only to tell for sure would be to measure the distance from the bottom of the step to the ground(step out) with out the jacks being used. Also if you are talking elec sometimes the mounting holes are different for each type. (single, double, triple)

RE: Dynaquest MH's

Personally I doubt it is because of fuel costs. I'd put my money on wanting more room or they're going to stay longer in one spot.

RE: Class C choices -help!

We have had outstanding luck with JAYCO products. We had a 2001 32' DESIGNER MH that was basically flawless and our 2008 SENECA has been the same. We've had leveling jacks on both and I would never buy a unit without them. It's not just the leveling issue, but also the bounce and stability once you are set up.
And besides, JAYCO has a 2 yr warranty.

RE: Bigfoot Automatic Leveling Jacks

We are purchasing a Sunseeker 3170DS and have asked our dealer to install the Bigfoot Automatic Levelling Jacks and he has tried to talk us out of it for the following reasons:
1 - twist frame
2 - problem for the firestone airbags that are on our unit - should not jack up with air in the bags
3 - only last 1 year or so - then they start breaking and having problems.
Can anyone who has these jacks on a C comment on his concerns? We really want them but do not want to have issues down the road.
WRONG on at least 2 counts. We had them on our 2001 E450 JAYCO(which we owned for 7 years), I know 7 other people who have them on their Class "C"'s and neither I nor they had problems.
JAYCO is either installing them or offer them as an option on their "C"'s.
They are not prone to problems, actually one of the better systems. Customer service and warranty is outstanding.
Can't address the air bag issue directly, but I also know many people with air bags on their units with auto leveling jacks.

RE: Need wholesale info on Jayco

Anyone know what wholesale is on a 2006 Jayco Seneca 35GS is. All I could find was high and low retail. It is in excellent condition with 13k miles. Thanks for any advice.
What's the asking price? Mileage does not effect price on a diesel per NADA. I bought a 2008 new for less than $106,000 hope that helps.

RE: Seneca M2 Freightliner Noise

I have the SENECA KODIAK chassis and yes it is noisier than the E-450 Designer we had, is it worth it absolutely. More room, more towing capacity, better fuel economy and the dog house and floor are a lot cooler, esp on the passenger side. Do I want a class "A" no, I want something between me and the front bumper.

RE: # of slide outs on a class c

Most older "Super C's" were on a Chev 5500 Kodiak Chassis, both gas and diesel, there were also some on International Freightliner. Chev quit making Kodiak in 2008/9.

RE: Bigfoot leveling system

Best "TOY" I ever bought for our 2001 Jayco Designer "C". I just wish Jayco had put them on our Seneca.
Since your in Ohio I would take a day and drive to the factory in White Pigeon, MI and have it done there. You can go the night before and park in the back. They have 30amp elec available

RE: New Class C Purchase - Would love your input

Went from the E-450 (Jayco Designer) to the Kodiak (Jayco Seneca) and it was the best move we made. Amenities, space, power as well as handling.
As to adding Hyd jacks we did that on the Designer and for me "Big Foot" is the way to go. I just wish Jayco had used them on the Seneca. I think they have now switched.
