RE: Diesel HP Upgrade

My CAT Dealer said not to make this change. You are more concerned with the torque than you are the HP. That engine has a higher torque than most engines with the same HP. Enjoy what you have

weldex rear view monitoring system wdrv-3007M

My monitor is going off about every 10 minutes and coming back on in about the same time. I have checked the fuse and see no real problem. However, i believe that I am losing power which is causing the monitor to cut off. Has anyone had this problem? The monitor is in a 2006 Bounder diesel.

RE: Fleetwood Excursion Owners

If you have electric door locks, you need to check your batteries. If you replace your batteries, you may have to program your door lock. There is a procedure to follow which you should have with your hand books. I have a 2006 Bounder and had the same problem, but was able to fix. I have discussed with others on this forum . It is a little scary, but mine has worked fine after I reprogrammed the electric door lock.

RE: Modification for two air conditioners in fleetwood vision

Your mh is designed so that you can run both units at the same time if your systems are working properly. Your system will keep your electrical amps balanced so you can use both units. It will shut down different appliances as the need is required to maintain your ac units. I had a 1998 pace arrow vision with the same system.

RE: 50 amp service

You need two hot wires, a neutral and a ground. Go to home Depot and ask for # 6 wire and a rv rec for 50 amp and get a double pole 50 amp breaker . There is an excellent article on how to wire a 50 am plug for a motor home on this forum, but I am not sure where it is, but ask for it and someone will let you know. DO NOT HOOK IN TO YOUR WELDER PLUG UNTIL YOU LOOK FURTHER INTO THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM.

RE: Alternator or Battery Trouble

If your batteries are fully charged, you should be getting a reading of 14.1 volts with your engine running. I would check the voltage on each of the cranking batteries. I would also be sure your battery connections are free fron rust.

RE: diesel vs gas , which handles better

If you are not sure you want to buy a DP after a test drive that includes all types of terrains, you are not ready for a diesel. I appreciated the handling and braking as much as i did the power in going up and down steep grades. My wife was truly ready for a DP after just returning from a trip on I-77 in WV. She enjoys our DP of two years and is more willing to drive more than 100 miles. Good luck in your decision.

RE: Charge Wizard

Take it with you on your next camping trip and someone will be happy to assist you. This is a great addition to your charging system and very very simple to install.

RE: Need help, New A owner, NO Shoreline Power!!!

Check your battery cables and be sure they are clean and free from erosion. Your 110 volts need to pass thru your 12 volt system to reach your converter box.Sounds crazy but I found this to be my problem after starting my generator and everything was fine. I used a file to remove a coating of erosion which was hidden by the cables.

RE: I 95 N thru-around Jacksonville help, please

I was on I-95 in Jacksonville in Jan Feb and March. There was construction, but not as much as 2008. I have found it much easier and quicker to stay on I-95. I sugggest that you slow down and watch the signs and you will be fine.

RE: Pulling that darn Dinghy fuse...solution ???

Put a plastic cable tie around the fuse and you will be able to pull the fuse easily. You can leave the tie on the fuse and you will always know which one to pull. simple

Charging Batteries

I am having trouble cranking my diesel Motor Home>it has two batteries connected plus to plus and negative to negative. I assume I would hook battery charger plus to one battery and negative cable to the other battery. Is this correct? It was started last week but a little sluggish. Going to Florida on Wed. for a mission project. Please help.

RE: Can Not Get Water to the Hot Water Heater

I would also open the pressure relief value and turn your water on and you should hear water coming into the heater . If not, check again to be sure all your cut-offs are open.

RE: Freightliner message system Help!!

My solution to this problem is to let the batteries charge for a few hours after your coach has been idle for a few weeks. This will bring your batteries up to normal and you will not usually see this message.

RE: What to see in Elkhart?

Be sure to visit South Bend and tour Notre Dame and there are several other attractions in that city. I would also recommend the tour of the Gulfstream plant. Don't miss eating with an Armish family if you can arrange with the tour office in Shipshewana.
