RE: Repairing Levelers
Over the last 5 years I've had 2 of my powergear levelers leak...somebody on this board recommended "painting" the stainless rams with automatic transmission sealer fluid then cycling the units. Believe it or not it has worked for me, no leaks in the last several years...pretty cheap to try first.

Tow Car
I have been towing a 1997 Honda Civic for the last 6 years...it was a great car. HOWEVER, last night some creep decided to steal it from my driveway. Now I need to find something else to tow but don't want to spend too much,so looking at older Saturns which can be towed 4 down. How about PT Cruisers ? Anybody know if the automatic transmission can be towed 4 down ? Any other ideas for an older car?

I am so sorry for your loss...my little poodle Ziggy has been fighting her cancer for a year and is losing her battle,we are counting the weeks....this is all so painfulmakes me cry.Hang in there, time will help.

Bill, I'm sorry to hear about Jazz...my little black poodle has been fighting an aggressive oral cancer for a year....it is now progressing but she is still comfortable...has handled chemo well, but all this is high stress....I just got dx with colon cancer so times are tough but we take one step at a time....

Ziggy is till so full of life, plays all the time,great appetite but her ulcer (cancer) is growing...we are going to try one last thing... a chemo with carboplatin and peroxicam....the vet says we should see something by her third cycle.....this may buy some time while I figure out what to do about my colon cancer....can not begin to imagine losing Ziggy at the same time going thru a major surgery.Right now we have hope...this is a powerful medicine.

Ziggy's cancer confirmed in her lymph nodes today...we'll try to make her comfortable for as long as we can.....it will be tough to let her go.
My biopsy back.... cancer confirmed in the colon bad news......not in the lymph nodes yet ...good news. Meet with onology tomorrow, surgery on Thurs.
So the fight goes on.

Gee, what can I say.....this is so difficult to deal with, we get so close to these guys...their love is unconditional..they never have a bad day and always can make your day better....my baby girl Ziggy's cancer has just recurred for the 4th time so I'll be in that same spot soon....it makes me cry to think about it. Time can help. Be kind to yourself.

Ziggy's cancer
It looks like my little girl Ziggy's cancer has recurred for a fourth time (squamous cell carcinoma in her jaw)...it doesn't look good, we are off to see her oncologist in about an hour...this dog has been my rock thru all my own major health issues (10 years fighting advanced prostate cancer)
And wouldn't you know it, yesterday during " routine colonoscopy" they found a 3cm mass in my colon....looks like cancer but am now waiting for labs, plus doing an endorectal ultrasound next week. ( anything with the word endorectal does not sound like much fun)
These are some tough times.

RE: Uh oh. Hydraulic oil leak under one of the jacks.
I have Power Gear jacks and over the last 3 or 4 years have experienced exactly the same thing...put some fluid in the reservoir which should take take of the alarm, then get some transmission sealer and paint the offending ram with it using a foam brush and cycle the jacks, repeat another time or two.....I found out about this here several years back, was skeptical but it has worked twice for me (different jack)

Problem w Slideout in 1997 Southwind
I have a 1997 Southwind with a Power Gear hydraulic slideout...with an electric motor driving the hydraulic pump. It will not extend...I was able to jump across the solenoids on the frame under the room and apply power directly to the pump and extend the room......the room will retract however on its own with the onboard switch. I'm thinking it may be the switch located over the door or it may be one or two of the four solenoids located on the frame. I'm reluctant to mess with the solenoids (a huge mass of wires,jumpers, etc) but I would like to try the switch. Where would I go for one
Measures 1 1/8 in x 1 in
6 pins on the back
LR 20985 is on one side of the switch and 13 amp @125 is on the other.
