RE: western NC mountains into SC

178 is pretty crooked from Brevard down to Hwy 11 in SC. It might be doable but it would be a white knuckle drive for sure.

RE: Propane Problem

I replaced my regulator only to find out the short hose from the tank to the regulator went bad. I had the same thing happen to me. I would have never thought of the hoses, especially both at the same time.

RE: Propane Problem

Well I finally figured out it was two bad hoses from both tanks. Never had that happen before. Replaced both hoses and all is well! Thanks again everyone for all the help!!!!!

RE: Propane Problem

I have let everything sit now for about 90 minutes and noticed the red is changing. Not green yet though. Its now about half red and half clear. I'm afraid if I try to light the stove it will go back to red. I'll check it again in the morning. Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far.

RE: Propane Problem

Try switching the tank positions. It could be it will not pull from one side of the regulator properly. If you have a seperate BBQ hook your tank up to that and see if it works OK. Coyotecprs, I thought the same thing and tried switching tank positions. Still can't get that darn red light to change to green!!

RE: Propane Problem

If you have a kitchen slide, check under the slide to see if you have any kinked propane lines. I have a 5er and that was my case with little or no propane going to the stove. There is an angle under the slide and you should see some wiring as well as a propane line. Mine had a spring-guide around it which moved causing the tube to kink. Hopefully, you do not have a link in the line. Nope no kitchen slide. It almost seems like its a VERY VERY low flow of propane to the stove (Or any appliance for that matter) and once it empties the lines its not enough to keep it burning. Although after it burns out I cannot smell or hear anything coming from the burners.

RE: Propane Problem

Unhook tanks then reconnect then SLOWLY open valve on full tank.you may be opening your tank valves too fast and safety valve is kicking in.it's designed to close in case of major leak I've tried that too, several times.

RE: Propane Problem

Oh,and the propane detector is showing green. I have tested it and it seems to be working properly.

Propane Problem

Just pulled the 5er out of the shed to get it ready for our upcoming trip. Here's the problem. One tank I believe is empty, but the other is full. I am pulling from the full tank. There is no propane to any appliance. I've tried purging the lines using the stovetop but nothing comes out. If I let it sit for a while the stove will light but only for a couple seconds then it fades out. Kind of like it burns all the propane out of the lines. The longer I let it sit the longer it burns before it goes out. The valve is showing red even on the full tank and I've tried every way I know to get it to jump back to green. WHat am I missing here? Could it be a bad valve? Thanks for any help...this is about to drive me nuts!!!

RE: Strange thing happening with fuel prices around here.

Gas here in upstate SC started rising the day after the election. Gas has gone from 2.97 to 3.13 and diesel from 3.59 to 3.79. Read today that the troubles in Gaza are to blame....go figure!!!!

RE: Duramax LB7 owners

Check to see if the injectors have been replaced. That was the only weak point with that engine. So far, mine has 86K miles and only regular maintenence has been done.
