RE: #0 gauge cables

When I installed my Magnum 2000 watt inverter, they recommended 2/0 copper on runs to five feet and if over five foot runs to use 4/0 copper.

RE: Rattlesnake Crockpot Stew

But, ever since I heard that story, I always wanted to try rattle snake.... no folks .. I don't "pack heat" with me! Dutchy, you don't need "heat", just pin the snakes head down with a stick, take your fingers and grip the snakes head up real close and place the snake on a board or tree and cut the head off about 3" back behind your hand. killing a rattler--yes eating a ratter---no way. And bury head is a very good idea. DW just told me it would take a six pack of margaritas to get her to eat that and another six pack to get the taste out of her mouth, LOL It is a good thing you two don't have a clue where hotdogs, sausage, or hamburger come from- you'd both starve to death. You see a cutoff biting snakehead here or here.

Rattlesnake Crockpot Stew

Now that the Rattlers are out and about here in the Desert , I just made up a batch of Rattlesnake Stew and thought I would share the recipe. As always after cutting off the head of the snake, it is best to bury the head as it can still bite you for up to an hour and sometimes longer after being removed. Ingredients 1 onion chopped 1 cup of chopped celery 4 medium potatoes diced 1 tablespoon of minced garlic 1 cup of chopped carrots 1 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes salt and pepper to taste 1 14 ounce can of beef broth 2 tablespoons of cornstarch Pinch of sugar ΒΌ cup of lemon juice 2 pounds of rattlesnake meat How to make it Salt and pepper the rattlesnake meat to taste and cook in water and lemon juice for 1 hour. Remove and separate the meat from the bones. Mix the meat with the rest of the ingredients well in a bowl and then add to the crockpot. Cook on low for 8 hours

RE: My 37 inch flat screen is an energy HOG!!!!!!!!!

RE: add a second battery or get inverter

Just remember that not every inverter is also a charger. My small inverter that feeds my Satellite, TV, computer is just an inverter. My large Inverter (2000 Watt Magnum) is what is called a Inverter/ Charger.

RE: America's Mailbox ridiculous price increase!

I am just curious, when you signed up for service with Americas Mailbox did they promise you a no price increase clause in their contract? I think I will call Don up tomorrow thank him for holding our prices down while his costs went up every year. I still cannot figure how someone who can drive around in a $100,000 truck and trailer outfit will whine and cry over a $30 price increase.

RE: Front landing gear broke again!!

I don't know your system, but just fixing the broken part does not always fix problem that caused the broken part. Perhaps it is time to take to the pros and get fixed correctly. Just say'n.

RE: How long does it take to install a replacement a/c?

Let me guess, you picked the company that gave you the lowest bid, right. I'm just thinking a good, quality, long time company wouldn't stay in business long working like that. One question though, why would you really need an AC in Alaska?

RE: Phantom Walmart horn blower

When did overnighting at a parking lot become "boondocking". Besides at 6am it's time to rise and shine anyway. When you "boondock" at Walmart, do the managers make you move to a different Walmart every 14 Days like the the BLM Rangers do? Just curious.

RE: How to remove stuck screws to repair water pump?

Run down to your Sears store and get a product called "The Unscrewer". It works like a champ and has the bits to goes down to really small screws.

RE: OK all you plumbing experts- need help with suburban valves!

I have looked at your valving picture and it looks like the B-7 needs to be closed and C -2 valve should be open. Do this and report back, it should work.

RE: Campers who leave dog poop on their site

I saw this at a park we once stayed in- the couple across from us would open their motorhome door and let the dog out and it seemed to like to do its' business on the site next to them and after a week the piles added up. Come Friday a fellow came into that site and sets up his trailer. He scoops up the poop and puts it all in a pile to one side of his space. While out for my walk the new guy came out of his trailer and we start to talk, and I let him know where all the dog mess came from. He says "No Problem" I will take care of it in the morning. Well come early next morning I see the new camper come out of his rig, put on latex gloves and return the neighbors doggy doo- On the offenders steps, door handles, windows, lawnchairs, storage bin handles, windshied wipers, etc. It was a grand seen when the offending couple came outside and seen "their" mess. It was exactly what God made lawnchairs and coffee for. But you know what? They started picking up after their dog.

RE: Greenball Tires, and my Nightmare...

On 10/8/2009 I purchased 6 new tires for my RV from Discount Tires. They were Greenball ST225/75R15 Towmaster V, E Load. This was the only Load E tire in this size that Discount offered. The investment total including the extended warranty for road hazard, mounting and balancing came to $691.65 which also included tax. These tires were then installed on 10/10/2009. The factory warranty was 3 years, and extended warranty was for the same. You paid $691 for 6 tires which includes the extended warranty for road hazard, mounting and balancing, that comes to less than $100 a piece for just the tire it self. WHAT WERE YOU POSSIBLY THINKING!!!!! And you know with a well known name like Greenball Towmaster you will be getting a quality product. I have never figured out why people buy the cheapest tire they can find and then piss and moan when the tires don't hold up. If you haven't guessed it yet, you get what you pay for. May God have mercy on your soul!

RE: Scatered trash on property

How would someone go about training them to drop their prizes into a trash receptacle? :) A 12 gauge shotgun would be a start!

RE: Weekend Warrior Super-lite ( Electrical problem )

Did the Blobs turn to bulbs after you moved the trailer? You might have to change the direction of the trailer because of reverse polarity that changed the blobs to the bulbs.

RE: Landing gear cross braces

I made my own front stabilizers using this method and they work great and are cheap to build and can be completed in about two hours. Kevin
