RE: What really chaffs yer hide when TC'ing?
Sounds like sitting on the front porch...inconsiderate loud music, speeding on a small street, ATV with kids roaring by. I guess when I TC that is why I like to boondock and get away from "camping"... and remember you always have wheels!

RE: Arctic Fox 1150 on F350 DRW diesel?
I have the99 Ram 3500 dually diesel quadcab and a 2005, 1150...9000 Ranch front shocks and airbags w/65 lbs......no problems.. go out west most winters and handles well on backroads about 13.5 mpg overall.

I am on Long Island NY and if there is a problem at target #1 NYC then all you can do in hunkerdown.... has anybody ever seen the Long Island Expressway on during any rush hour.... we are going no where!

Kerry great looking job I did something similar in my AF1150 but finally decided to take out the stern portion of the dinette and replace it with a swivel-rocker easy chair the dinette cushions were never really comfortable. If I ever figure out how to post pictures I will put them on.

Does anyone ever go up to Nome in the summer for some of that Bering Sea Gold I see on TV. Not that I want to get rich but it would be a "kick" on the Bucket List. When would one go, where would be the jump off point, What would be the oversea charge for the TC. Any other ideas...just seems like a goal.....I am in NY going stir crazy..hehehe

Now I am pissed...... because of a health problem I will not make it out to Q..... but that is where I usually stay and wanted to meet up with some RV Net people...... well there is always next year but that is really far off..... let us know if some guys get together and how the weather is.

The trouble I had with the DRW was being on trails and the DRW is a little too wide but, go for it.

Hi I have a Ram dually diesel quadcab 4x4 w/ AF1150.......now we have been on some desert trails and roads overlooking cliffs from my wife's window. I have lost a front and rear hubcaps ($$) over a cliff and my rear wheels at times were not all on the road! Been in some rutted area where the fast guns popped off as the camper bounced.
You can do it but as BradW said not a very good idea.
My wife made me give away my 4 wheel drive trail guide to Az. because she had had it.

Well I have been medically delayed but may still make it in a few weeks.
Scaddan Wash if a freebee and then the La Posa south with the dump area is good but watch the nwt and usually you can meetup for breakfast.

I was actually with 3 campsites of friends at the southern 500 and at 2 AM I had enough of the music and drunks and told the first guy to stop... as his friends came over it seems my 3 campsites with about 10 adults came over......we met in the middle and it simmered down... but if you are alone I guess you have to bear it or leave.

We all change.... I have cruised in small boats, motorcycled across country and had TTs.... now it is the TC... our own bed, kitched & bath when we want. Ebb and flow is the cycle and we all get caught up in and to go with it is the challenge and fun. So if there is a little blip, now and again just go with it and have fun.
I still have not got out of NY for this years trip out west.... sooner or later......Dave
