RE: Marker lights

OK guys now we have a problem.... the marker light only has a screw for the ground to be connected and a black wire for the power to the bulb....the camper has two wires coming out of the hole in the side of the camper and it is a green one and a white one......which goes where? In a house I know there are 3 wires but that is not what I have and the marker light itself does not call for 3...only 2 Dave

RE: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?

The front right side tore off in a blizzard while we coming back from AZ. The Filon on my AF 1150 was gone from the nose to the bedroom window top to bottom. Removed the puckered luan, dried it out, used white alumnum 22" flashing (overlapping top to bottom after making a template. Cleaned the nose cap metal (so the flashing would fit in)used caulking and liquid nails.... and it looks great! Total costs about $25.

Marker lights

Have a 2005 AF 1150,camper.. and have to replace the rightside front marker light. There are 2 wires coming out of the camper one green, one white....would I be correct that the white is the power for the light and the green is the ground......really bad with electric.

RE: The Emotions in a TC

Sleepy Have read your posts for a long time and agree with most but the one about TWO having to be very compatable in a TC is the best. We are going to be celebrating our 50th and the TC is still our cup of tea... it has some battle scars but fits the bill.....let us know if you are going to be out in Az next winter would sure like to swap some stories......best of luck Dave still have not been able to figure out how to post pics!

RE: Slide problem

OK Joe A problem is a problem is a problem. Hope as soon as it warms up a bit I can rectify the problem. These slides are very popular and we looked at TCs for a long time and then when we saw the slide we were sold.... to each his own!

RE: Do I really need a 4500 for a 5,500 lb TC?

I have a 1150 AF with a 99 dodge Ram diesel dually, air bags and Rancho shocks...never had a problem with the truck and we have been in some pretty rough off the road areas and covered about 40K miles.

RE: Siding Recomendation ?

I have a s,all repair I will be doing as soon as it warms up. I was thinking of using either fiberglass 1/8 " thick and comes in a 4 x 8' sheet in all colors or aluminium flashing that is wide enough or in a sheet if I can get it.

RE: Thanks for the .. found the electrical problem

I usually leave a gallon of the RV pink stuff in that area that might have contributed to the plug being knocked out.....that is not going to happen again.

Thanks for the .. found the electrical problem

A few weeks ago when I cam home from Q to NY my batteries were not charging.... looked high and low, checked fuses and checked the batteries if they were still good. One of you on the forum said check the converter which I did not know even where it was... you guys knew and today I checked it (not knowing what to look for)and low and behold ....... the plug had shaken loose.... all good, batteries charging Thanks Dave

RE: Charging problem with AF1150 single slide, dry,gen & AC

OK if I find the converter is there any indicator lights or something I should know? Took both batteries out and had them checked they seem to be good although one took some water. I ran the fridge on LP the whole trip .. never on auto. Thanks for the comeback..... it is plugged in now and I will check it on Monday.... what annoys me is that all the green lights do not go on just one or two and it never says 13.2.... but I will wait for a day or two and try again. Dave

Charging problem with AF1150 single slide, dry,gen & AC

On the way back from Az. the batteries would run down quite fast (although it worked the furnace all night) it drops to 11.7. Usually when I turn on the generator all the green lights go on and it charges up to 13.2 and then drops down into the high 12s when it is turned off. The truck during the day charges it back to about 12,6. I checked the batteries and they are both still good (Group 29, interstates) It would seem the charger or something is not charging up the batteries any help would be great.... I cannot even find where the charger is! Dave
