RE: Power Awning - Is there an end panel available?

The Carefree Colorado web site is not working right for me at the moment. I know I saw rooms that were very expensive. I wasn't looking for separate panels. I got a text page to show and it mentions side panels. Not sure if it is what you want. You are correct I'm sure, you already talked to them, they should know. :) Again, without seeing the web site, I don't know. Here is a snippet I pasted...

RE: Good Bye Yellow Brick Road....(So Cal Style)

As a modified Jeep Wrangler owner, I hate to say it, but when I go wheeling in AZ (and other places) I see many others not following orders given to them by rangers minutes after being told. Whether it be shooting in a no shooting area, leaving trash behind, or irresponsible off roading, I have seen it. Living in NY I am amazed at the trails and BLM land available to use out west. In NY everything is privately owned. Unless you have permission from land owners, you cannot wheel. I hope that westerners will take care of the off roading gem you have before it is all gated and closed.

I know that Carefree Colorado offers panels & screen room for electric awnings.

RE: Changing Tire on TT

I second trying it for yourself. On my TT if you try to raise one wheel the shocks keep the other one on the ground, so driving up on blocks does not work. I need to lift the frame. I had planned on using the jack in my truck, but had a major problem this weekend (broken back plate) and the mechanic brought a small floor jack like the one described above and just popped it right up.
He has the rubber torsion ride... no shocks. It will most likely work.
Yours too, you just need a taller block. By jacking up the frame, the tire will still droop the same amount as driving it on a block.

RE: Changing Tire on TT

Is it a tandem axle trailer? If so, a couple of short 4x4's will work or leveler blocks. I carry a couple anyways as I use them under the tongue jack. You throw them down next to the good wheel and pull/back the good tire onto the wood/blocks. It will lift the bad tire up off the pavement. Of course you will want to loosen the lugs first, and be sure it is on the blocks safely. I have used this method a few times with no problems. Camping World sells a plastic thing for the same purpose.
EDIT: I see by the time I posted this, others had suggested the same. Sorry for the redundancy.

RE: What's the Norm - Barking Dogs / Rude Campers

Since this turned into a bathroom thread :).
We try for a nice site where ever we go... who doesn't?
We also have a bathroom & shower in our TT, and we use it, so we don't care where it is located in the campground. ;)

RE: Garmin or TomTom

I vote for a Garmin. Try to test them out as much as possible before you buy. They can have many differences. Of all the features, lane assist, or what ever that brand calls it is really useful.

RE: post pictures of your HTT

I didn't know if you were coding the bb code yourself as I usually do. If you mis type it, it fails to work. You could see the code that signifies the end of a image. It has a square parenthesis on either side with the / for end. So it says image end.
I quoted you and it shows me the original code. I see the problem. Photobucket gives you the code ready to use. When you click the "add photo" box http://www.rv.net/SharedContent/cfb/images/editortoolbar/image.gif it is double coding it. This forum with remove all coding if any of it is wrong and you get the "Note: Due to invalid formatting, all formatting has been ignored." message. When you get the code from Photobucket, just paste it into your message and do not use the "add picture" box http://www.rv.net/SharedContent/cfb/images/editortoolbar/image.gif

Why would you want to get all that salt water on the trailer frame/brakes, etc?

RE: New to towing a TT Camper

You could pull that trailer as it has a dry weight of around 3200lbs. My old 21' was pulled by an older dodge dakota, and I used a Grand Cherokee for a while. My buddy has the Road Runner version of that trailer and pulls it with a front wheel drive Chevy mini van. So yes, it can be done, but hills will be an issue, as will really hot days and the A/C. If you plan on traveling more than a few hundred miles a trip, and basically flat, you could do it. Other than that you will not enjoy the ride much.
As far as the TT, it has everything needed in a compact package. I like it.

RE: Chattanooga Camping World Flooded

Lets hope the government steps up to help all the people affected like they did in New Orleans.
I hope they do more than that. Next to nothing was done in New Orleans. It is still a mess years later, but I digress.

Of course they are open, they are trying to dry them out. See post above about the minor water damage.

RE: Chattanooga Camping World Flooded

To bad they couldn't of moved them. There are some class A's up near the building, and the photographer is on dry land, seems a few could of been moved. Maybe they did and ran out of high ground... who knows. Either way, what a shame... for everyone involved. I lost a home through fire started by a lightning strike, so I can relate to the feelings they are having right now. My heart goes out to them.

RE: Sirius renewal fees

Pandora is one of my favorite apps on my Jesus pho, er, I mean iPhone. :)
The Slacker Radio app is nice too, as is iHeart Radio which carries local stations in your area.
As a side note, if you have the premium sat service, there is a Sirus/XM app also.
The iPhone is the best thing to come along in a long time.

RE: At what point do you laugh at "Book Value"

Let me get this strait.. You have a 24ft 2001 TT and you THINK it is worth $15,000?
I think you misunderstood. The way I read it was that he was being offered $1500 for his trade in towards a new $15000 trailer... not that his current trailer is worth $15000.
I agree with some others here, try to sell it outright if you can.
