RE: Hallmark Pop-up Truck Campers

Weather you get a Hallmark or Outfitter,, get a F350 or 3500 truck so you do not have to add suspension bandages. Hallmark and Outfitter both now have north south beds. If you want to winter camp the heated basement in the Outfitter Apex 9.5 would make sense.

RE: Pop-Up Campers

I have a 2011 Apex 9.5 on a 2011, Crew Cab, 8' bed, SRW F350. The Juno weighs more than the Apex. I would not want a lighter truck than a 1 Ton.

RE: North East Truck Camping Jamboree

As of today we have 51 campers registered for the Gettysburg Jamboree. We probably will have over 100.

RE: Problem with traction control 2011 F350

What does the dealer say over the phone? Of course they want you to stop in. If it is under warranty why not?

RE: Northeast, late fall and bestest hints

Hey Skip,
This brings back memories from when I was a kid. My brother and I explored the 10' high, 20 foot undercuts in the cliffs on the Bay of Fundy. We then went out on the flats at low tide. We heard a loud whooshing sound and turned toward the cliffs we had just been under. The cliffs had gone straight down and we got a blast of the air displaced by the fallen cliffs. Scared us plenty.

RE: Drummer Boy Camping Resort in Gettysburg PA

When we visited it was crowded, tight and the staff doesn't seem to care about campers running amok.
Last year we had our NE TC Jamboree at gettysburgcampground.com and cannot say enough good things about the campgrouds owners and their positive attitude to TCers

RE: cab over weight limits

285lbs plus wife plus gear under bed plus etc. is no problem with my 2011 Outfitter 9.5 popup.
What kind of popup is it and has someone that knows popup campers checked if it is strucurally sound?

Bummer you already ordered it
"Have you thought about using a 12Vdc refrigerator instead of a 3-way?" is a great suggestion. I am glad I have a Novacool.

RE: Hard or Soft?

Agree. Suggest that Hallmark, or Outfitter would be a more valid comparison to a hardside. They have non canvas 3 layer insulated soft side.
