RE: Black Tank Odor

Thanks for the replies so far. The house we are staying at is over 100 years old and there is no sewer clean out outside..... i do love this idea though. Like I was saying, I would like to try and make it 3 weeks before dumping the black tank. I am worried about the odors while flushing. As far as the gray water, I am able to just run a hose into some dirt/weeds in the area.

Black Tank Odor

My wife and I will be living in my RV with two small children for several months. There is no place for me to hook up the black tank to. We are able to use restrooms in a family member's house during the day, but at night it is a different story. I am trying to limit the bathroom usage at nights, but with the little one's it may be a problem. In order for me to dump the black tank it will be a huge hassle to get the RV out of the parking spot and drag it a few miles to dump it. With this being said I would like to keep from dumping the black tank as little as possible. What can I do to eliminate the odor from the black tank while it sits in 85 - 95 degree heat for weeks before being dumped? Thanks!
