I use a car tire inner tube. The wife made a cover that zipped around the tube, inflated to a snug fit between the windows. Cover prevented squeaks and avoided rubbing finish off the cab. Also allows flexibility in gap between cab and camper. I never seem to load camper in the same position in the bed.
