RE: Update from Lost Dutchman SP Apache junction

Oh; how I miss the beauty of Apache Jct; lived there from 1981-88 down off of Buena Vista Dr. Went up the Apache Trail about as many times as I have hair on my head. LOL! Loved Going fishing to Canyon Lake on the weekends and Tortilla Flat for the coldest brew in Az.

RE: should I upgrade to win 10?

I installed it on a 2005 model Acer that had windows 7 Ultimate; have 10 Pro which gives more control of how they are installed; last week and all seems fine; well browsing anyhow! I was told to be careful as some manufacturers such as the Dell model 1121 Inspiron were not compatible according to the Dell website. I have Win/7 Pro on it and went into the Windows Update/optional updates and unchecked the Win 10 upgrade and hid it.

RE: mammoth cave national park?'s

There is the Yogi at Mammoth cave about 2 miles west on KY 90 and just a stone throw from the National Park. A bit pricey but very nice amenities and the Restroom and showers are spotless. I use to work there and the owners; Kay and Bill Pott and their personnel make it a pleasant stay. Yes; you could say I am a public relations guy> LOL!

RE: Arizona State Park camping fees

At least the west has plenty of boondocking sites in SE California and West & Central Arizona. The Rates around D.C.; Delaware and Maryland are high as well as Southern Florida.

RE: Coumadin and Dentistry

:h When I had my STEMI severe heart attack the Cardiologists found out I am allergic to Heparin; my white blood cell count dropped and they had to give me an antidote. I was on Plavix for about 14 months after. I also take 81 mg Aspirin. about 6 mos. later had to have a lower canine tooth removed which had a root of another tooth twisted around the canine. The other was removed and the canine piece of root broke off. I had to have him quit as he tried to remove a piece of jawbone removed to get at the root. It will be 2 yrs. this Novemeber since then. I get a feeling of a toothache coming on in that area every so often, but now I am fearful of getting the last three out for a lower plate to be made as those three are also bad. I have three stents; 1/4 of my lower left heart wall muscle is dead and i still suffer from chest pain near the heart which the Cardiologists (2) have no clue of the cause. Had all the stress and heart tests done.

RE: San Antonio in early Febuary ?

I believe you may want to search RVParkReviews or Allstays.com and do some calling! Hidden Valley RV Park is in San Antonio and I receive their Newsletter. Terri and Mark Blascke are the owner and it is a short distance SW of SA.

RE: Living full time in TT (not RVing) - Maintenance

If I were in Idaho I would want to build a complete enclosed garage with upper cross ventilation so the RV's sewer; propane aplliances; etc. vents properly. This would keep the cold winds and the moisture from the rains and snow from damaging the RV. Either that or a small Park model built for the cold weather!

RE: Uncompensated Benefit W-2

I see the OP is from Az. So I believe it is C-Am your relating too. I actually thought they issued a 1099 for the perks and a w/2 for wages. What ever; depending on the situation and how much taxes you have to pay for perks. JMHO; I only work for wages and follow what Dog Folks posted. California and Arizona and Maryland are states that have some different income tax codes; that i know of.

RE: New to it all

I know for fact that most especially in the South show a lot of respect for their elders. I moved to Florida in 1993; noticed it then. I then started work camping in 1999; worked in NY state; then in Maryland; Virginia; Mississippi where I really noticed respect; Iowa; Ky and now retired in Tn where I hear most folks call everyone; Sir; Mam; or just a friendly hello. Did i forget; Sweety and Sweetheart. I believe you will all will do just fine. I say search; search and research making sure this is the life you want. I seen many couples doing this and some with kids; pets are kids too.

RE: 100% Disabled Vet Rates

I believe it is Military.com who lists the states who offer Veterans benefits on the state level to include campground discounts. Most federal and some states honor Seniors discounts for camping. Was told recently by the local Tennessee VA Officer that I would need to go directly to the states campground and apply there!

RE: Worse this year?

Only read a couple of posts but it comes down that since the 1980's the educational system has been teaching tha children that no one other than school officials or parents can tell them what to do! Lack of discipline for misbehavior when young and lack of training in the Golden Rules has created the "rules don't aplly to me" attitude!
