RE: campground near Cedar City, Utah

Believe it or not the KOA Campground in Cedar City is pretty nice. We stayed there several years ago and found the park an excellent selection as an overnight stay.

Nice RV Park near Yosemite.

We are planning a trip to Yosemite during the Thanksgiving holiday break. Would appreciate suggestions on campgrounds in the area. We plan on traveling up to Yosemite on several day trips, but are also looking for something interesting to do in the local area as well. Full hookups are a must.

RE: Slideout installed with incorrect brackets

All I have to say is good luck getting this resolved with Carriage. My experience with them is after the 2 year warranty is up, you are on your own, even if they created the problem.

RE: anybody know about RBW hitches

Have had mine for 8 years. The only thing I would do different with my next one, would be to store it out of the weather when not in use. The paint application they used on this hitch back in 2001 was very poor. I even went to the manufacture in Chino and spoke with there production manager about this, apparently quite a few had this problem. I still love the hitch, but it's in need of a serious paint job.

RE: RV Parks in the Bay Area ?

We actually stayed at Coyote Valley RV Park in Morgan Hill, which is approximately 1.5 hours south of SF. It was a great selection due to its location to both SF and Montery. I would stay there again if visiting this area. Check out the website as suggested by deandec.

RE: Campground to see Mount Rushmore?

We stayed at Rafter J, very nice park our teenage boys loved it. If you are not aware, the 4th of July is celebrated on the 3rd at Mount Rushmore. Just a thought when planning your arrival to the area.

RE: High Sierra Camping

Bill,
I will be taking pic's of RV campsite's to share with everyone if you are interested. Currently the site we have reserved is one of the best in the campground. Level 55' site on the creek, the only down side is the weather right now, little cold and wet. Oh well will just put another log on the fire.

RE: Campsite suggestion Central california

We like the Twin Lakes campground out of Bridgeport, but judging by your pic you would probably not do well there with that size coach. Zephyr Cove in Tahoe is a very nice well kept campground, though a little pricy as it is associated with the hotel across the street. Their bathrooms are very clean and their campsites are hand raked.

High Sierra Camping

Heading up on the weekend to Rock Creek Lake, CA. Have a site in the East Fork Campground. Anyone been up there recently? Any big changes I should be concerned with? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

RE: California Camping

Depends on when your going. We enjoyed Paso Robles which is approximately an hour from Hearst Castle. Check out Wine Country RV Resort, there is a Water Park and a Winery right next to the campground. Just a thought.

The Spacecraft will be launched from a Delta II Rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch complex 17, Pad 17B. For those who just cant get enough of the big stuff, enjoy. Check out nasa.gov for any additional information.
For those who are interested, JPL will be holding there annual Open House on May 2nd and 3rd. in Pasadena Ca. check out there website at jpl.nasa.gov

RE: Recommend an RV Resort in Southern California

I would book the SoCal locations, only because the campgrounds are few and they fill fast. Paso Robles: I would recommend Wine Country RV Resort. Just off the highway within walking distance of a very nice winery and an hour drive to Hearst Castle and beach.

RE: Recommend an RV Resort in Southern California

I know of one place that you can stay, but it is in Temecula and you said it was to far. OutDoor Resorts at Rancho California. One of the best campgrounds you can stay at in the Area. We stayed there on the 4th of July, it is very hot, but they have 5 swimming pools, a golf course, tennis courts, lake and on the holiday they cook for everyone in the park, free drinks, 50's style band, golf cart parade and much more. Check out there website: outdoor-resorts.com (951) 767-4579

RE: Recommend an RV Resort in Southern California

I checked in our area and found the following campgrounds.
San Dimas: East Shores RV Park (909) 599-8355 Great local campground. I called and they are booked, but they said to call back and check.
Pomona: Fairplex KOA (909) 593-8915 Small campground, Great Fire works show across the street at the Fairplex.
Chino: Prado Regional Park (909) 597-4260 Probably your closest campground to Long Beach area, and would be the most like camping, I believe they even have a lake.
All these campgrounds can be found at rvparkreviews.com If you have any questions drop me a line.

Poll for All Carriage Cameo 2001-2008 Owners

Carriage Cameo Owners of units built from 2001-2008: Should Carriage Offer the Holding Tank Replacement to All Authorized Dealerships and Service Centers within the U.S. Yes or No. Any comments are welcome.
Carriage Cameo Owners of units built from 2001-2008: Should Carriage offer compensation of $500.00 rather than a rebate as indicated? Yes or No.
Background: Due to an error in it's sales literature for several years which listed the holding tanks for Cameo's at 55 gallons, which in fact were only 45 gallons, Carriage through a goodwill gesture to its customer is offering a replacement. The customer is required to bring their unit to Carriage for installation at their facility in Millersburg, Indiana, there is no charge to the customer for the installation. Please contact Carriage for any additional information.
The sales department at Carriage recognizes not everyone wants to come to Millersburg, so in consideration of this issue, our sales team has offered a $500.00 rebate at time of new purchase when you trade in an affected Cameo fifth wheel on a new Carriage product. This needs to be discussed so the dealer can process the $500.00 rebate.
