RE: cleaning fiberglass ?????

I recently used Gel-Gloss on a recommendation from a friend. Worked great; cleans and waxes at the same time. Found the best price on Amazon. I've seen it make aluminum sided campers look new as well. https://store.gel-glossrv.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22&products_id=32 Can that be used on the decals also without drying them out

RE: ?'s on htt

Congrats on the new trailer. Bring a video camera to your PDI so you can watch the demonstrations again later. Have them not only show you everything but you return the demonstration. have them also show you (not tell you) the dewinterization and winterization processes. Have fun and may your new trailer bring you lots of happy camping trips (oh and in answer to your question, jayco is a very well liked brand on here w/ good customer service from what I have read). Thank you

RE: New to the Pup world and need advice.

So give us the lurid details. New, used, etc. congrats by th by It's a new 2011and can't wait to pick it up. Not sure if it was a great deal and don't want to find out cause that's always a downer. Our first trip is going to the beach in Galveston Tx this weekend, not the best looking beach but its close to home for a trial run. to me it seems to be plenty of room for two adults, two kids and two pretty good size dogs. I grew up tent camping and hope my kids get the same enjoyment I did even though their camping is going to be a little more pampered.

RE: ?'s on htt

I was really looking hard at JAYCO trailers the last two years and did alot of head scratching over them. I like the 2010 213X model and up. This has to do with side windows on the rear bedroom slide. JAYCO was well known for its quality of trailers from years back. DOnt know about 2012 models... It is hard to find used 213X for sale which tells me they are either a real bad trailer or everyone is still hanging on to them... The 213X has all the things I was looking for especially being able to be towed safely by my 2010 F150 shown below. I liked the interior just great. Was really planning on mods for the bunk room/Bicycle room into a wrap around desk for office/computer/Ham Radio operations along with a smaller storage area just inside the side storage door. I had big plans for the bunk bed room hehe... The trailer has dual tandoms for better towing control and lower togue weight and looks like a great all around nice trailer with excellant reviews from owners. The only compliants I ran across was after time the Bedroom slide would not look level and needed some adjustments. There was also some complaints about water getting in the side storage door. Trailer Magazine did a nice article on this trailer being pulled by the f150 truck setup like mine is. I worked up a bunch of planned mods I would do with this trailer as I wanted a trailer to get back off the trail just a little bit but be beefed up with batteries and possible some solar panels on the roof etc to sustain long camping off the power grids. I had alot of conversations with 213X and 26P owners. The JAYCO FORUM has alot of good info on the 213X and 26P trailers. Im still scratching my head on getting anything newer as my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer is still doing just great. It also still gets me 19-21MPG everytime we go out go it. Dont think I would do that good with any of the wind catcher taller trailers. The JAYCO 213X and it little bigger brother 26P sure did catch my eye. This is Ashlee's husband, we will be picking up our 2011 jay feather x213 on Wednesday. Hope we made a good choice for our first camper.

RE: New to the Pup world and need advice.

I would def look at the new line of somerset camping trailers. ALINER bought most of the equipment and hired most people from the old coleman fleetwood plant and r now manufacturing the trilers. Most if not all jayco viking rockwood owners i ever meant went gaga over my 2 fleetwood/coleman trilers ive owned. I now have the coleman Niagara and love it and have had no issues with either trailer and i use it a good 40 nights a year at least towing up to 5000 miles a year! Good luck in your searching any questions fill free to ask any. :) We are really liking the Jay feather ultra light x213, but not making the jump just yet before checking out other brands. I think we narrowed out the PUP and looking at the htt's

RE: New to the Pup world and need advice.

Jared You didn't say what your tow vehicle is. Price aside,,, yeah right. The Jayco is the larger, heavier unit. Do the kids need a Queen bed? IF the floorplan is enough better and the PUP is in really good condition, you could try for a better price on it. And of course IF you don't mind the extra weight on the Tow Vehicle. ???? The newer, smaller Fleetwood, is the smaller box and thus pull more comfortably, and still has three beds available. A better 'Deal' I'd think. Clicky I just came from the Houston CL, not much being offered at the moment. I have a 2007 f150 4.6L and a 2011 f150 3.5L Ecoboost
