RE: Should Denny Hamlin be punished for the truth?

Sorry Willie, but I have to disagree with you....the fan is god at NASCAR events and Brian France knows this. Get the fans against you and NASCAR pays the price. IMO, this is one time that France is going to have to back down.
I agree with your sentiment and opinion Texan but I doubt NASCAR will back down. They do not want to and do not have a need to ever give in, even when they are wrong.

RE: Denny Hamlin

Thanks downtheroad. I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought NASCAR was going too far.
And another thing.... I'm just wondering, is anyone else in the Waltrip family going to join them in the broadcasting booth? I thought one at a time was enough and sometimes too much.
The other day I was unable to watch the entire race on TV and found it on the radio. I had forgotten how good MRN broadcast are. They talked about the race and not themselves so much.

Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin says on camera he will not pay the $25000 fine to NASCAR for his comments about the gen 6 car. I wonder if he will get suspended?
Drivers can no longer have opinions, it's against the rules. Ridiculous.

RE: family vacation in Smokey Mountains

I would probably do Disney for the young and young at heart and do the Smokies when they get a little older.
Do a cruise out of Charleston for just the two of you before or after the other trip.

RE: Commentary during today's Pheonix race.........

What they said while your sound was out was that Danica could wreck better than or as good as a man. :) And she was the first woman to lead a lap in the Daytona 500.
I do give her credit for toughness. For being such a tiny thing she seems pretty durable. Like several others she hit that wall pretty hard after blowing a tire.

RE: Getting rid of dirt streaks

I use Awesome too, but I do not recommend using it full strength. I cut by at least half. You will need to wax where you use it because it cleans off everything. Also I do not use it on graphics.

RE: Sadly, No more sports fly overs

bff = best friend forever
Interesting. I had not heard this nor can I find anything about it with a Google search.
I don't doubt your post at all but... If it happens, I bet there will still be money spent doing flights they just won't be over athletic events.
I hope they are not cancelled, but if they are I will miss them. I know one of the biggies at Bristol is when the military skydiver comes in with the huge flag attached to him. It is a beautiful site. I wonder if that will be dropped too?

My personal opinion and choice is to stay away from them. It might work for you but not for me.

RE: For golfers

My swing can overcome anything you can invent. I've never owned an old golf ball. :)
Me either Jim. :) Except other people's ball I found while looking for my ball.
It's just a matter of time until I start using a pool cue for my putting. I really think it will help. :) I really don't look forward to laying down on a wet green though.

RE: Jimmie Johnson won the 500

RE: cheating
Cheating is doing something that breaks an existing rule.
Innovation is doing something for which the rule has not yet been written.
Chad like several before him is more innovative than a cheater. Much like Evernham was when he was a crew chief for Gordon, the Elliots when they were blowing people away, etc. etc.

RE: For golfers

As long as the playing group agrees on the "rules" and the group is not holding up everyone else it really does not matter IMO. Obviously the rules would be different when playing with either of you. :) And I don't mean that in a bad way at all.
I will never be a great golfer but I do know how to have a little fun with it and I try to follow the rules. But a mulligan or a gimme in 18 holes ain't worth worrying about to me.

RE: Danica on the pole for Daytona 500

There are many who would love to finish as well as Danica. She drove a good race. I mean no disrespect but I will be happy when they celebrate her for being a winning driver and not simply for being a female driver. I bet she feels the same way.

RE: Jimmie Johnson won the 500

Did you catch the interview of all the Hendricks drivers before the race? The question was posed to each of them to secretly write down who would win if all had identical cars? (not the exact question but close) Kasey, JR, and Jeff all said Jimmie. They didn't show Jimmie's answer.
Chad is no doubt a great crew chief but Jimmie is a very smart and talented driver.
For the record, I am not a Jimmie fan, but i gotta show respect to the success.
