Wow this thread got revitalized since last spring.
I ended up going with a Ford F-350 Supercrew diesel and a 27' toyhauler travel trailer. The decision came down to the fact that I can get a lot of use out of the truck when not camping. I ended up spending a little more overall but that's because the camper was new. It was a 2011 leftover so I got it for about $12,000 off the sticker price.
