RE: 1997 F53 pace arrow tag axle help!

Thank You Captain. I called the people you suggested and got hooked up with all the info I needed. It was a Mor Ryde setup. Joe I have a MorRyde Tag with the Dexter axle slso. Could you share the part numbers for the brake system parts. Thanks.

RE: f53 newbee questions

The spring type clams are superior since they maintain a constant compression. Now if they rust, thats another problem. Mine are 13 years old, no problem. And yes they are installed by Ford as a running rolling stripped chassis.

RE: Ford Escape Towing Problems?

Aren't there other cars similar to the Escape that are without question towable? Keeping the trans fluid 1 qt low as a fix seems a little iffy to me. I like Ford products, but this one would scare the beejeebers out of me while towing.

RE: Fredericksburg Tx

what are the prices and any wifi? We have stayed at Ladybird Johnson RV park. Great place. Watching the planes on the weekends is a great pastime. $20 a night with cable TV. WiFi is available for an added cost of $30 a month. If my memory is right, monthly rate was $200 with Cable. Hard to get a month at this park.Have a friend that stays there and said it is now $300.00 a month and wifi was very sketchy. Will check it out when we visit. 425 per day, $200 for 2 weeks, $300 per month. All rates incl electric. WiFi is splotchy and weak.

RE: Fredericksburg Tx

We are staying at the Lady Bird Johnson city park. It is right on the Fredericsburg airport. I can watch planes land and takeoff. Our pad is paved and the space is huge. Great find.

Fredericksburg Tx

We are staying for a couple of weeks in Fredericksburg on our way to the RGV. What a nice little town. We love it here. Clean, neat, people are friendly and lots of activities. Went to LBJ's ranch yesterday. Very interesting.

RE: Who is towing a 2010 Ford Fusion

What does the owner's manual say about towing? That should be your bible. Should be, but in the case of the Escape, it apparently isn't.

RE: Ford Escape Towing Problems?

Still haven't heard from anyone who has towed an Escape without transmission failure. This guy is an intelligent individual who can follow directions very well. Based on my Google search, this car appears to have towing problems.

RE: Ford Escape Towing Problems?

This car had the TSB complied with. Right now the dealer has agreed to take the car back if he can return it to Alberta canada.

Ford Escape Towing Problems?

Neighbor burned up his transmission the first time out. The Escape is said to be towable by Ford. Google reports a lot of similar transmission meltdowns. Anyone sucessfully towing a 2009 Ford Escape?

RE: RVS FROWNED UPON IF OLD AT SOME PARKS.

The only RV Parks that I ever ran across that had an RV age limit were the "Resort" parks which have individual lot ownership. The lot owners have an association that determines the rules governing the cg. The owners that don't rent out their lots, want those that do have some restrictions. Case in point is the Traverse City Resort which has the 10 year rule. My RV is 13 years old, but no problem.

RE: New Carpeting.

Not all motor homes have the carpet installed first. I replaced my carpet and it was stapled around everything with 1/4 in staples. Carpet was not under anything except for the bed.

RE: Installing a new television

I have a Dolphin also. I replaced the old analog TV with an oak veneer panel the same size as the trim piece around the existing TV. I plan to bolt a thin depthed Visio 22in directly to the plywood panel. I stained the panel honey oak and trimmed it out. I used the oak wood plugs to cover the plywood attack screws as the original was. The Visio is very thin and should work out well. In the mean time I use a 26in flat panel setting on the dash.

RE: Moble 1 or Ford Blend

I use the Wally World synthetic and change it twice a year which is about 2500 miles per oil change. You will probably feel better if you stick with the twice annual oil change with the Ford blended oil.
