RE: Just venting

When we first got ours we used it 3 to 4 times a year. Since then my mom-in-law had a stroke and the wife is the primary caretaker. We at best get out twice a season and this year probably just once. I almost hate to use it once and then winterize it again but we do enjoy the time when we are in it.

RE: Why does my awning stay wet??

Last year I used 'Wet and Forget' on my awning and it stayed pretty clean from the mold and mildew the entire season. The only stains were the bugs that got rolled up in it. I won't be opening the awning until June but I think it won't be as messy as it was prior to using the Wet and Forget. It isn't a cure all but if you only have to clean the awning once a season that works for me. The stuff is great around the outside of the house too.

RE: water in rolled up awning

I tried a product called 'Wet And Foget" sprayed to my awning top side and bottom side. I cleaned the awning first, let it dry, then sprayed the diluted 'Wet and Forget' on and let it dry. I have used the HTT twice since then and the awning while wet/damp when rolled out did not show signs on mildew. We will be UP North next week and I will see what the awning looks like then. The stuff works great on other items that get moldy/mildewy outside like shaded areas.

RE: What do I need?

When we bought our HTT, being new to the trailers and excited, we popped for the extras.....big mistake for us good for the dealer. I still get mad when I think of the wasted money. I won't do that again. You may want to consider the extended warranty but be careful of the ones that offer the money back if you don't use it. The one we had went out of business.

RE: McGuires

I just cleaned my HTT (all fiberglass) on Sunday with McGuiars #20 Mirror Glaze Polymer Sealant. It cleaned it and shined like it was new. So shiny it was blinding me as the sun reflected off the trailer into my side mirrors. I tried a small sectioned using Gel Gloss which is good for fiberglass and was disappointed. I went over the section with McGuiars. BTW it was no easy task in our humidity....but it looks great

RE: Refridgerator drain tube

Thank you for the advice. I think I will try to slide the next larger diameter hose over the current one and that will do it.

Refridgerator drain tube

The drain tube on my fridge is brittle and the slightest touch causes it to crumble. I want to replace it before it gets too much shorter. Has anyone replaced the tube and if so do you have any suggestions or tips on how to do so.

RE: Increasing mileage when towing

I have a K&N filter installed. Can't say that it helped to any noticable amount. I also use full synthetic oil and I use MotorKote. Still can't say I noticed any significant improvement while towing. Maintaining a speed about 60 to 62 mph seems to give me the best mpg. I do think my milage around town (non towing) did improve some.
