RE: Big rig parks between Jacksonville and Richmond

I would go up thru Richmond and go north to 17 and take that over to I 81. Faster adn good roads. Lots of places to stay. I have stayed at South of the Border. Lots of pull thrus and right off the interstate. You can stop just north of Richmond and use the KOA or go up to Winchester adn stay at Candy Hill.

RE: Plastic leveling blocks

I have used them at the kids house only way to get level. I have used them in the fields at antique shows to spread the load and not sink.

RE: Boondocking at Walmart

I have stayed in rest area all across the country. If you are e galley parked in a class A you will have no problem. The no camping sign is for tents and awnings. I pull in at dark and leave in the morning. Never had a drunk or loud music or a bonfire out of control. If you stop there during the day then night is no different. I have covered 300,000 miles this way in my motorhome. Heck, Tioga George never stays in a campground but I do when I get to my destination. Every talks and says it is dangerous or unsavory, well life is dangerous and there are issues in campgrounds too. I find wl marts too busy and so are trucks stops. I have been in a rest are out west where I am the only unit in there all night or most of it. Now some say to stay in a campground , sure I bet you want to be next to e too. I will pull in. At 9 pm and leave at 4am. I have a resonator now so I am a bit louder too. I have everything indeed in the coach and no desire to travel far off the interstate. There are a few camp grounds Ido use but they are easy off and on and full of transients.

RE: I-90 Spokane to Wisc campgrounds

I loved the KOA in Deer Lodge. I get out to Spokane as often as I can but go the reverse to start. I find I stop in different places going west vs east. Time changes and weather and just being mre tire on the return trip.

RE: Long Class A rigs with Trailers - Where do they stay?

I have friends with 42-45 footers with 20foot and longer stackers. You can fit in a lot of places. Some of my buddies have a gas powered tug that lets them park the trailer in an odd position and you wonder hw they did that.

That fuel filter looks like one of the ones I have on my ISM. It is protected though. Interesting placement. They hada clear bowl or a metal one you could choose from.

RE: The continuing Saga waiting for my new Ram 3500

Looks like some kind of fungus or bacteria growing in that compartment....I'd just walk away from it...........fast............... wow, gone one day, come back to the TV forum and we're talking about breast implants:h I've seen the DEF at some filling stations, hadn't really looked at pricing, so guess I need to buy a couple of gallons to have on standby...When I got the truck it had full tank of diesel and full tank of DEF, guess I'll be able to see where I stand with the DEF after a couple tanks of gas. I can only compare 10-12 EVIC readings on mpg to the 13's EVIC reading on mpg, and I alway's hand calc, but this truck is staying in the 15.4 or higher range with the driving since I purchased it and that's included city driving and start and stop...same kind of driving in the 10-12 3500's i had would net me on the Lie-O-Meter, in the upper 12's, to low 13's...it "SEEMS" to be an improvement and I don't have 200 miles on the truck yet. Interesting. I am running low 16s with my HO 2011. No def and my brother in law is 18 with his def Chevy. I traded an 01 Duramax in on this on last year or so ago. I was happy not to deal with def the next few years. It has been interesting following ths thread. Thanks for the info.

RE: who has done a complete renovation

I have totally redone my Foretravel and know other FT owners who have done the same. I replaced the TVs by redoing the cabinets upfront. New driver and o pilot seats, one is an air ride the other is a recliner type, new carpet. Pulled out the cabinet behind the passenger and put in a bigger one replaced the couch with a new one and a J sofa and table. Actually hated the J lounge and table so pulled that and extended the slide floor 9.5 inches and put in a breakfast bar. Pulled the fridge and put in a residential one. Just measures to replace the counter tops with stone. Replaced the shower and will pull the electric toilet and put in a manual one. Replaced and made a window box head board and put in dark out blinds electric in the bedroom. Put in electric privacy blinds on the front window and MCDs all around. Basically went down to the walls and redid it. I would be happy to direct you to the places that did the work.

I 81 closed both directions near Harrisburg PA

Link to the story Just saw this. A truck hauling 7500 gallons of diesel flipped over. IT was on a bridge and it damaged it so badly that it closed 1 81 for the next couple days both directions.

RE: Campgrounds near Coeur d Alene ID

I loved Blackwells. I have stayed there every year since 2002 a couple times a year to visit family. Very easy in and out and nice. the saw mill was not an issue last visit.
