RE: Buffalo to Disneyworld

Go this site for all Truck stops on I 95 from Main to Florida> are any interstate in the U S < At Exit 105 in North Carolina is a Truck stop with Electrical hook ups for a R V for 10 dollars a night and Cable a dollar a hour, I believe time you get that far you will be ready to pull it over and park it for the night, if your going to pick up 81 in Pa look at your Map and you will see a route 17 at Winchester Va taking you over to I 95 and you miss Washington D C

RE: Searching for the impossible?

Florida is a long State from top to the bottom. Jacksonville to Miami is close to 400 miles then you can go onto the Keys another 150 miles, so that is a LOT further south, as said many times on this site>< You must go south of the big lake to find warm weather in Jan & Feb, If I am going to spend my Money I am going to go where its warm

RE: Snowbirds coming North

Looking at about the 10th April being back in Pa and even then could see snow, big change from the mid 80s that we have saw here in Miami since mid Dec, all good things must come to a end I guess, All Have a safe trip home where ever it may be.

Your Winter Parking spot

will your Park allow you to park on the same spot year after year?? here at Larry Penny Park in Miami Fl I have parked on same spot for many years, you leave a deposit for your spot for the next year and you have the same neighbor year after year

RE: Are we cold yet??

As been said many times on here, for warm weather you have to be below the big lake , a few cool days this winter but most in the hi 70s to mid 80s

I spent 8 years in Tucson and best I remember 40 low High 60 was about normal for Jan and Feb, that,s why I winter in South Florida. I remember getting into 70s but also remember low 30s and have saw snow there

RE: How do you handle this?

I dump a gallon each of windshield wash which is rated to 20 below in my holding tanks , I leave my lines full of R V antifreeze then I bring a few gallons of water in a milk jugs, I go on the idea that they sell any food I need that will not go in the Refrigerator and freezer that freezes down the line, when I am about 50 miles out from the Campground I am spending the night in I hit the furnace so things are warming up time I get at my site. there is where I put water to the unit if the night is going to be warm enough, this year is my 18th year of snow birding

Campground Web Sites

Why when you go to a Campground web site do they show you pictures of there pool, trees, inside of a room which all could be any wherein the U S but when it comes to where you park which is what I am interested in, there may be one are two if your lucky and I am assuming they are the prime spots in the park not the one where the other guys slide comes over into your spot, hard to judge if you want to stay looking at those.

Holding tank odor

Here in South Florida we have been breaking 80 deg a lot and the black water tank is hard to control the odor when you flush, I am using Thetford Campa-Chem and after a few days it time to dump to get rid of the smell, wondering how other people hadle this when this warm. in the cool weather can go about 10 days to two weeks.
