RE: Low signal on King-Dome

Well after setting up the backup satellite dish and getting a signal strength of 95 I am still having the same problem. So I could call King-dome and spend money having them work on the dish but if I am having the problem using a dish on a tripod also how would this help?

RE: Low signal on King-Dome

I called Directv again today. They insist that it is the dome and will not do anything until I have it checked out. So before I pay someone to look at it, I have hooked up my backup Satellite dish that mounts on a tripod (I am getting a 94 signal strength on it) I will try this for a few weeks, if the problem goes away then I will know it is the King-Dome.

Low signal on King-Dome

I have a King-Dome satellite system, (KD-2200) stationary. I bought it new in 2010. When it was new I never checked what the signal strength was. Lately I have been having trouble getting over 82. I have been told that that is a good signal for such a small dish. My question is for others that have this kind of system. What signal do you get? By the way I am in Las Vegas now but was in Idaho earlier in the year and only got 79-80. The reason I was asking is that I have been having problems with my receiver blacking out during shows and Directv said that if I was only getting 79-80 the receiver would now work properly.

RE: Air compressor locked up

I got to where we were going and was able to trace the air line. The air line goes to a small air tank under the RV then to the air horns. The tank has a lot of rust on the bottom so I think it was leaking causing the air compressor to over work. At least I know what it is now.:S

Air compressor locked up

I have a 2006 Tour master Diesel pusher. We were driving down the road when we smelt smoke coming from the front of the RV. We pulled over and opened the front panel for the generator. There is a small air compressor located on the fire wall and it was smoking and very hot to the touch. It usually runs for a while when I start the RV and then every so often. It was apparently locked up. I cut the hot wire that went to the compressor, and it stopped smoking. I don’t know what this air compressor is for. I still have good air pressure, I released the air in the air bags and pumped the brakes to see if the air would come back up and it did. Is it safe to drive?
