RE: What Did You Do in your Sprinter Based RV Today?

Finely got the Scissor jacks installed on the back used to help with the swaying while stopped. We are going to leave the leveling to blocks and save the $3k. With the short wheel base we have been very happy being able to find a semi-level spot on any camp site we have visited and more we do it the better we have got at fine tuning. Yes in the rain it will be bummer but not worth the $$$$$$$$$..... I do envy those installing the HWH.

RE: Sprinter Chassis RV

We just down sized to a 2013 View Profile 24g from a 38ft Diesel Pusher and love it. Not for Mileage but for eze of having a smaller RV. Now we can not only go anywhere we can BOTH drive. It is so much easier to use, we visited 27 states over the years and plan on visiting them all over again. This time we can travel back roads AND interstates.

RE: What Did You Do in your Sprinter Based RV Today?

Purchased and installed a set of stabilizers/levelers. Had to shorten the tail pipe, it now exhausts in back of the rear wheels. But, 1) in an uneven campsite, it is real easy to "adjust" the rear so everything is "level". 2) the stability is much better using those crank down devices.
Where did you install them. I am in the process of getting some plates made up that will have scissor jacks welded on them and then I will be installing them in place of the skid plates on the back. Yes I know there is a chance of them ripping off going in and out of driveways. However they will only hang 1" lower then the skid plates did.
I'll have to figure out how to do pictures (Again) and post them when I get done.

RE: Battery Choices

Go to Costco! Around here they are about $80. Have lasted good. I beleive they are same rating as the 2200
He said he did check at Costco and they said they didn't have them anymore? I happen to be going there this afternoon and will check myself... Thanks....

Battery Choices

I am doing this for a friend. He has 4 Interstate U--2200 that are BAD and he wants to replace them. He is looking at Centurion from a local RV Dealer @ $115 each. I have never heard of them and am not sure if that is a good price anyway. ANY opinions?
Thanks LeeB

Wireless (outside) Speakers Hook-Up.. How Do I?

I have a in-dash radio that has XM and I would like to see about hooking up some speakers that we could use outside (wireless).
Both A & B outputs are used, however I have a USB input is there a way to use the USB as a output and hook up speakers?
I promise I will keep the volume LOW...

RE: What Did You Do in your Sprinter Based RV Today?

9er we had a leak very first night (shower) we were staying at the dealer and they fixed it right away. I guess we are lucky our water pump works great. Now that I said that it will mess up..... LoL
Today I installed a Trik-L-Start to keep the chassis batteries charged when plugged in. I am debating on whether to change out the inverter/charger to a 3 stage. I have full hook-ups here at the house and would like to be able to keep it plugged in 24/7 with out frying the batteries.

RE: Winnabago View MB Diesel

We just downsized a little over a month ago from a 38ft Diesel Pusher. We bought a new 2013 because there was a lot of improvements over the 2012. 11 inches longer for one and it made a world of difference.
We picked ours up in Iowa and put 5000 miles on it before arriving in California. We averaged 15mpg and have got used to the smaller size. I plan on towing a 96 Geo Tracker.
Check out the 24g and 24v......
