RE: reese dual cam noise

thanks for the feedback , I mentioned the wet weather because the noise disappeared .I will try using a heavier lube and keeping the spring bars on the same side. thanks again!

reese dual cam noise

I have a reese dual cam set up on a new 29ft Winnebago tt.i was told when new they can be noisy. when I went to fl. this year the cracking wasn't bad, rain on the way down, and rain and snow and sleet on the way back in march. just returned from nc ,hitch was cracking and groaning on the sharp turns in the campgrounds where we stayed. I tried putting a small amount of Vaseline on the cams, it seemed to help but after 2oo to 300 miles it becomes very loud again when making those tight turns.my setup uses the bent hanger brackets. I guess what I am asking, is this noise normal for this type of hitch?
