RE: Honeymoon in an RV....

We got married Aug. 18th, 2012 at a beautiful overlook setting in Shenandoah River State Park, located in Bentinville, VA We spent the weekend there, then September 1st we headed to Pigeon Forge, TN. for a week. The weather was great, traffic was very light and we were able to truly enjoy a laid back, relaxed, no pressure honeymoon.

RE: 2011+ Ford Super Duty 6.7 owners question

Your trailer probably has ST tires on it and they have a max speed of 65 MPH Slowing down will probably save you some fuel, and could possible save your rig from a lot of damage should one of those ST tires decide to explode.

RE: Mattress Topper

We purchase a 4" memory foam topper from Wal-Mart, NOT one of those stupid egg-crate type. We really didn't have time that night to let it "fluff" but we slept great that night, and we still sleep great on it. In fact, we liked it so much about 2 weeks ago I went to my local Wal-Mart and purchased another 4" topper, also made by Canopy (well thats the name on the box)to put on our bed in the house. Weird thing is the price, doesn't matter whether you want twin, full, queen or king they were all $149.99. And like we all know, "IF" your not happy with it, it's an easy return at Wal-Mart, especially if you keep the receipt. We are VERY glad that we purchased these toppers.

RE: Rubber roof Northern Virginia

Please send me a private message so that I can give you the name & number of a very reputable & reasonable rv repairman. or you can email me at kanyonkitty@hotmail.com Capt. Skup from RV.Net hauled his Sunline 5th wheel from St. Leonard, MD to just west of Winchester, VA to have his roof repaired and he was very happy with the work and the price. Kitty

RE: Removing the adhesive under the wall paper border

I'm in the process of doing exactly the same thing. Your right Goo Gone WILL remove the color from the wall paper. I am using Goof Off, apply some on a cotton rag, apply it to the glue, let it sit for a few minutes, and then with another clean rag and elbow grease start rubbing. This is not a quick job. I am doing mine in sections. Good Luck, Kitty

RE: Replaced truck tires

I had purchased a brand new 2005 F350 diesel, crew cab 4X4 shortbed and had 72K on the Continentals when I decided it was time to start looking for replacements. I was very happy with the service my tires gave me and I wound up finding a set of almost brand new "take-offs" from an '07 F350 which I purchased for less than 400 bucks. I was very diligent about tire balance, rotations and truck was parked under carport unless rolling down the road.

RE: Tongue Weight is too Light

Won't your spare tire fit thru one of the compartment doors that gives you access to under the bed ? Put together a toolbox for those unexpected emergencies and put it under the bed. I couldn't see your battery on the front of the trailer, maybe add a 2nd battery ? Where do you store your drinking hose, sewer hose & fittings ? Move them up front, every pound you move will help.

RE: Considering selling my 2004 Sunline SR264 -- how to

As previously stated go to the Sunline Club website. I am sure you will get some good replies. SunlineFan is sorta our resident Sunline historian, and he is a wealth of info. So, I'm sure he will offer suggestions for pricing. Plus on our site you CAN advertise your Sunline "For Sale", posting pictures also helps a lot. Kitty

RE: Stinky Slinky- how to stay clean?

Not sure about your fitting, but once I'm done dumping, I hold the open end of the fitting with my hand, and pull/peel my surgical glove off and over the open end of the fitting.

RE: We know where your paper towels went.

I purchased a very nice paper towel holder from Bed, Bath & Beyond that has a ratcheting mechanism in it. This prevents unwanted unrolling, PLUS it also allows you to tear off a towel(s) with only one hand. Was about 20 bucks. They had a wall mounted version and also a countertop version. No more unfurling towels.

RE: Shake, rattle and sway?

You might want to check your local Craigs List for the king pin stabilizer. As you can see from the replies to your post, some folks love them, some folks hate them. Using good between the tire wheel chocks (like X-chocks or Roto-Chocks), remember to re-tighten once tires have cooled down. We got a good deal on a set of JT Strongarms, and between the Strongarms, X-chocks the 5th wheel is real stable. We hardly ever use the king pin stabalizer, but set up correctly it does help. Good Luck

RE: storeing with windows open

We leave roof vents and windows on the street side open. But, our 5th wheel is parked underneath an RV Port.

RE: tires covors

Aero 303 is safe for tires as it does NOT contain petroleum distillates. You DON'T want to use anything on your tires that contains petroleum distillates.

RE: Tires

"I always put tire wet on them when cleaning" You need to check the chemicals in the "Tire Wet" to see "IF" it contains "Petroleum Distillates". Petroleum Distillates are harmful to tires. IF you want to use a treatment on your tires, check out "Aero 303" it IS safe for use on tires, AND may other items on the exterior of your RV.

RE: Getting a bad back...

Purchase a 2 or 3 inch memory topper from Wal-Mart. Not the ones with the egg-crate design, ours is just solid, flat foam and VERY comfortable. I think it was about $128 bucks. Well worth the money.

RE: Outdoor Camp Kitchen

Go to Cabelas website and search "camp kitchen" they have two. Friend of ours has the one with the vinyl sink and they use their outside shower for the water supply. That one is about 96 bucks They have at least one other one, and it runs around 127 bucks.

RE: Reese safty pin hard to remove

What you might want to try (if your not doing it already), is crank up the tongue some using the tongue jack. This takes some of the weight off the weight distribution bars, pins, etc. Also, telling us what brand/type of weight distribution hitch you have.
