RE: Satellite dome rain fade re-visited

I have tried most of the ideas as noted above, with limited success. Winegard even suggested dish detergent. But I have found that spray silicon ( not WD40) but straight silicon spray is terrific. Here at Yellowstone NP,it has repelled daily heavy rain and even snow.

check out seasonal possibilities with the National Park Service. Figure out where you may want to go. Contact the Facilities manager or Maintenance manager and see if he (or she) might have a spot for an highly qualified electrician. A lot of parks don't have the money to hire someone for fulltime but often have the money for a seasonal. Or you could volunteer for a season and get your full hook-up site free

The main thing to remember is to do business with a company who offers a specific RV policy. Several agents advertise in the major RV magazines, as well as the companies they represent. I had National Interstate and switched to Progressive which is being brokered by USAA, who I have done business with since 1960
