We've done it both ways - solo and with a group.
The first trip to AK was with a caravan - www.alaskarvtours.com - we met some great people from across the US and have been getting together every year since 2004.
The second and third trips were on our own, having been with Spike on the initial trip gave us the confidence we needed.
But either way go and enjoy.
My experience with Velvac was quite different. My white mirrors on my 2005 GreyHawk were discolored and when presented to Velvac they replaced both without charge. The Tech Service people were very accommodating.
I have a 2004 Jayco 31 with V10. The unit has 77,000 miles with original brakes. My question - when should brakes be changed? Is there a correlation to miles? (most of driving has been long distance compared to city travel) How can the pads be visually inspected?
Any and all ideas or suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your input.
