RE: Medicare Advantage for Full Timers?

It's my understanding that Medicare Advantage plans are limited to specific areas. Therefore I don't see how you could use one across the US. donn0128 suggestion is the way to go, however I think that would increase your out of pocket costs not reduce them. From the Medicare site: "You can generally join a Medicare Advantage Plan if: You live in the service area of the plan you want to join. The plan can give you more information about its service area. If you live in another state for part of the year, check to see if the plan will cover you there." I have a medicare advantage program and it is good for all 50 states! The statement that these plans are only local is misleading and incorrect! Check out all of the available plans. Each, I believe provides a nationwide list of where it is in effect.

RE: FORD 450 Chrome Rear Wheel Cover

The exact same thing happened to me last year on my way north! Checked with ford and they would sell hub cover for only $220. Went to internet and found one for only $80; same type, stainless steel and great looking. Most sites usually sell only sets, but if you ask, they will break set and sell individually. Believe site was Hubcapheaven.com In this instance, the web is the only place to go. DO NOT even bother with camping world. Good luck

RE: Poverty Point Reservoir State Park, Delhi, La.

Stopped for the night here. Beautiful park, full hook-ups, modern bathrooms, birds of all sorts, paved, level campsites with grass all around, fishing, boating. We read in a State Park brochure that folks with a Golden Age Sr Federal Park pass can camp for half price, but when we got here were told that only applies to Louisiana residents so it cost us $32. Worth it but disappointed they did not honor the discount we expected. They stopped that program of half price approx. 2 years ago. Now, they only offer that discount to La. residents AND to residents of other states whose park system has the same program, ie Maryland.

RE: Would You Take That Dollar?

I would ask the question....why the heck would you NOT pick it up? To make you less guilty, I've been lucky enough to find upwards of $100 bills and/or chips lying on the floor of a casino and have picked up and kept! As we say, snooze and you lose.

RE: Going to look at this Class C today

looks like the bed is above the drivers compartment. I also have class C with bed same position. You may want to consider that going up and down that ladder to sleep. Plus, if you're somewhat nervous in tight spots, sleeping in that upper area may not for you; especially on long trips. And, if there's two of you it will be crowded especially with that low ceiling. Just sayin, it might be something to consider. Couple hundred bucks off price for non working refrig will not buy new one. Might want to check camping world or local RV place for a replacement cost. Make sure you test drive before buying. Ask seller to demonstrate everything else in that unit. Picture shows electrical connected so it all should work. Don't forget to check that stove as well. Just my two cents worth. Good luck.

RE: Van Horn, TX is unfriendly toward RVers

So, this didn't happen to you,but to someone that you heard about? How come they didn't post? maybe it was the extended bumpouts and chaise lounges under the awning and the burning barbie that attracted the troopers to the site.

RE: Gulf Shores / Pensacola West KOA - Lillian, AL

Just spent 3 days at Gulf state park for the first time and it was awsome! For only $30/nite full hookups and clean restrooms plus a quiet campground. Lots of empty sites at this time. Its cold but well worth the price. This has to be rated a 10 out of 10! Will return nextyear for longer stay.

RE: Roasted Mouse?

Well, we did it. Disassembly was simple and removal of the bottom panel revealed the body.

RE: Replacement Hub Caps?

Same happened to me. No one sells "used" hubcaps. You may want to look under the term wheel covers or dually simulators. For my dually stainless steel cover cost $87 with free shipping. Try hubcapzone.com or hubcaphaven.com as a start.

RE: Roasted Mouse?

There is a vent on the rear of the oven that lets the heat out, it goes in the back and up yust behind the two aft burners, some times mice will try to escape out this vent and be roasted. take stove out of the RV to a bench and start taking it appart, you will find the mouse or the nest in the back vent. navegator Looking at that as the only solution. My only hesitation is the disconnect and reconnect of the propane connection. Worried about possible leak when I reconnect.

Roasted Mouse?

Fired up the stove oven the other day and lo and behold, the smell that resulted was overwhelming. Took apart as much as we could and washed everything down; but found no roasted body(s). Now What?? Haven't used it since then, but know we must at some point. Any suggestions as what's next if smell returns? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

RE: Window weep slots

Had the same problem in my class c. Called mfg and they provided plastic inserts to weep holes that solved problem. They still allow air flow, but prevent water from entering after heavy rain. Sort of like deflectors or "awnings" over the holes. Probably better termonology would explain, but until I get that fifth cup of coffee, its the best I got.
