RE: Decal replacement

When I replaced the decals on my MH I used windex instead of soapy water. It serves the same purpose by allowing you to move the decal around. After you squeege all the liquid and air out of the decal please give it plenty of time to dry before removing the covering. Good luck, and I did not have any problems doing mine.

RE: Memorial Day weekend, where will you be?

We will be in Olive Branch, Ms for the repatriation ceremony for 10 USAFSS "ditty boppers" that were shot down in Feb 1969 flying out of Pleiku, Viet Nam. Being an old "ditty bopper" myself I felt it my duty to go honor and welcome home my comrades. God bless America!!! Safe travels to all...

RE: Sweet potatoes...am I late to the game?

We love sweet potatoes and use them frequently. Use them in veggie soup in winter, DW uses them with roast, carrots, onions, gravy. Down here in Louisiana we have a product called Sweet Treat. It is Cinnamon, sugar, and pure vanilla. Put it on a baked sweet potatoe and it is great, on top of ice cream it is great, even making cinnamon toast it is great. Cajun Power is the company and Sweet Treat is the product. Try it, you will love it. I am not connected to the company in anyway.

RE: Fixing hole in corrugated alum siding?

This is actually an easy fix, way simpler than one would think.
Don't try to put something different on there as it just won't look right at all.
It is the bottom piece, by far the best one to have to replace. The siding is put on starting at the top and working down to finishing at the bottom. Each piece is inserted into the one above and stapled on to the studs. The bottom piece usually has a 90 degree bend at the bottom and stapled up to the underside of the trailer, or a trim on the bottom to cover the it.
It is not that hard to remove the staples and drop the piece out for replacement. I have done this many times. Of course, you will have to remove all the other stuff in the way, doors, hatches, corner moldings etc.
As for finding a replacement piece, I got all the siding for my rebuild project from Fraserway RV in Abbotsford. They have a siding roll former in their service shop, and have different rollers to match pretty well any profile. 23' long? OK, a bit awkward to move without damage, but I go to Abbotsford all the time and I have a big rack on top of my truck to carry stuff. A simple crate made of 2X4' strapped to my rack will carry the piece intact.
Do yourself a favor and don't try to fiberglass it or checkerplate it or anything else unless you want that look.
I live only a short distance from you, and if you buy me a coffee, I'll stop by and show you in person how to fix it properly. It's easy to do. And if you buy me a donut with that Timmies, I might even stick around and help you fix it!! Bring it to my house in Surrey or I'll run into Vancouver for you. Your call. It is handy to have 2 or 3 guys to hold the piece to install it. It is a bit flimsy to hold by yourself.
Either way, we can replace the damaged piece in an afternoon.
Can you post a picture of the whole side of the trailer so I can see the overall view? Or email it to me? Man, how can you beat a deal like that??

RE: West Memphis,AR

Tom Sawyer is really a nice park. Just sitting and watching the tugs and barges going up and down the river was interesting. We were there on our way home from the Natchez Trace trip. Will go back one day.

We put ours on the front side of the living room slide along with stickers from interesting places we have visited. I also put states on that we have visited without the MH.

RE: Ford V10 Actual Trip MPG

that sounds a lot better but not so good for me as top is 8 avg 7.6 wish i could get yours, but we do have that bigoverhang out front also square side by ea door yours is on a angle which makes air flow around ,not trapped in cornor. Still like ours have had it 3 1/2 yr now
good travels&enjoy This sounds like me, I have never got 9 MPG. Mine usually stays around 7.9 to 8.4. If I tow my Saturn it drops to 7.0. Oh well, I still like my 29' Winnebago Outlook.

RE: Can we talk about LIMA BEANS, please

We lightly steamed a frozen package of baby limas last night.
Not good. Not mushy but tasted old or off at bit. Beans were not a uniform size and different shades of green.
This was a store brand, not one of the biggie brands. Can you recommend a good frozen brand of lima beans, please. Thanks.Pict-Sweet or McKenzie brand are both good. I have not seen a frozen Lima bean only frozen Baby Limas. Anyway, both brands of baby limas are good...

RE: Supplemental Brake Dilema

I have had my brakes come on unexpectedly but the monitor has always let me know. I use the Blue Ox Patriot brake system and it has a wireless monitor that tells you when it applies the brakes. Before that I had the old Blue Ox system and a homemade wired monitor that indicated when the toad brakes were on.Are you satisfied with the Blue Ox Patriot system. I purchased one and am satisfied so far with it, but I have only used it once.

RE: Polish for Front Diamond Plate

I swear by NEVR-DULl. It's a wadding polish that takes some elbow grease but it makes my running boards look like new and holds up a while. X2 for Never-Dull it works wonders.

RE: New Mexico visit

We stayed at KOA Central for the balloon fiesta a couple of years ago. Very nice campground (prices elevated because of fiesta, but what's new). When we left Albq we went to Ft. Sumner for Billy the Kid stuff, did Roswell UFO museum, then went to Carlsbad and stayed at KOA there. As posted, it is quite a ways from the caverns but is exceptionally nice. Enjoy your trip.

RE: It Is So Worth It To Have A Great Steak

The filet mignon is a very good cut of beef. Not sure I'd throw it in a frying pan. We order them 2 inches thick. Wrap them with bacon and 5 minutes on each side on the grill. At $15 a pound the frying pan won't work for me. However, pretty hard to ruin a filet mignon. Roger this, WyoTraveler!!!
