Freedom Elite 23U

We've been considering for sometime to switch from tag-a-longs to a single unit. Got a mailer today from CW and they have listed the above model for $49,995.
I've googled this model but haven't seen much referring to ownership except for one posting on another site. naturally that posting was problems w/his/her unit.
Any owners on this forum or anyone w/some input.
Thanks....

RE: Battery Tender/Charger

I've been using the original Battery Tender since 1994 for MC and bought a new Battery Tender Plus 7 yrs ago for the C6. Pig Tails on both and they are hooked up 24/7. Never have had a battery issue. Replaced battery on MC just because it was old.

RE: Which Is The Best Trailer And Why?

The trailer that makes you feel glad that you didn't buy any other brand /model.
I like that, cause that is exactly how I feel about my TT.
X3....and we're in our 4th Jayco.

RE: Survey of TT lengths

2012 Jayco 184BH, 20 feet long, bumper to hitch. One size and model doesn't fit all. That's why there are so many styles of RVs and pickup trucks. It's all about personal choice.

RE: Time to renew registration, $$$ ouch!

Ouch, some States make tons of money off a renewal.. We pay $14.50 for the 2010 Mobile Suites and $24.50 for the 2012 Chevy Silverado 3500HD. And when we had the Freightliner M2 it was also 24.50 per year in the State of Tennessee. Happy Trails.....
yep, can't beat Tn for tag renewal. only $24.50 even for my 2k6 Corvette.

RE: retired folks, if you had a do over

We fully retired in 1991, at ages 43 and 46. Never give it a second thought.
Bought our first RV in 1989. I got my first one in 1973. Cab over camper on a 1967 long bed Chevy. Life is good...do it again, you betcha! Hooah!

RE: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012

I bought mine from Lowes, they are tin. Also in the vendor display, they sell the two side tape made especially for this product. It's paper thin and very very sticky.

RE: Camp Host from Hxxx

To the OP....If you're going to complain about this CG, at least identify it so that others can choose if they would want to
stay there or not. I wouldn't want to listen to the generator and would like to know that before I was to spend money for a site. Hooah!

RE: Cruiser Viewfinder V-19FK

Where are the propane tank/s stored on this Viewfinder?
Dual tanks.
On the back of trailer, left side inside a locking compartment.
License Plate bracket is on the right side of TT.

RE: Cruiser Viewfinder V-19FK

Based on the Viewfinder Web site, I too like the floor plan. I'm curious about the quality of construction and components. Your impression?
Well, based on it purely as being a static display, I was actually very impressed. I went through cabinets, drawers, and followed the plumbing best I could. I really did like what I saw inside and outside of the unit. Not being a designer/engineer; I don't know what too make of the windows though. They're w/out frames. First time I have seen these on an RV. Kinda look incomplete, but again, I'm not an engineer/designer.
Wife liked it also, but I am sure we'll be keeping our 1 yr old Jayco.

Cruiser Viewfinder V-19FK

Went to a RV show Saturday and saw a V-19FK for the first time.
I was impressed w/the the layout inside, but the jury is still out on the > front. It does however make for a nice floor plan on the inside.

RE: Class B Chasis Service

OP here; Thanks All for your feedback and input.
I believe I have had my concerns/questions and more answered.
Not so much concerned about breakdowns, although one never knows, but was more curious about routine maintenance etc.....
Thanks again,

RE: AC run on a single Honda EU2000i or like generator?

If your new small TT should have one of the side mounted ACs like many of the smaller Jayco has, it will be more than enough. They have a Danby AC which is a small room AC. 5000 BTU and somewhere between 400-600 watts. I have a Yamaha 2000i and it's more than enough to power the AC and the 700 watt Microwave. That's on the low power setting too.

Class B Chasis Service

We've been stink'n think'n about Class Bs. We like them and many moons ago we owned a VW Westfalia. Traveld that rascal all over Europe and Coast to Coast here in the states.
My concern for the new models using Ford, Chevy, and MB, is how difficult is it to find a dealership that will work on the vehicle?
We don't have any RV dealership within 300 miles that even sell Class Bs. Will local auto dealerships work on automotive? Local Benz dealership will not work on Class Cs that are Benz powered.

Turning on the Emergency Flasher will sometimes alert the rear driver to back off or pass. I've done this and had it worked.
