RE: 2013 Acura RDX AWD or FWD

For what its worth. We bought a 2012 Honda CRV after owning three earlier year models. Big mistake! We hated it. After two months of uncomfortable driving, we traded it for a 2012 Buick Enclave. The Enclave is very comfortable, roomy and is a great tow vehicle.

RE: 2013 Buick Encore

I saw the Encore at a Sacramento Car Show last October. The spokesperson said it was towable, four down. However, to be sure, read the owner's manual. I would never trust a spokesperson at a sales event, nor a salesman.

Winnemucca, NV to Grants Pass, OR - Hwy 140

I am considering driving our 40 foot diesel pusher on Hwy 140 to Grants Pass, Oregon. Has anyone traveled this highway? Any concerns?

Blue Ox Fuse Bypass Switch in Buick Enclave

Has anyone installed the Blue Ox Fuse Bypass switch in a Buick enclave? I purchased a 2012 Buick Enclave for my towed vehicle and two fuses must be pulled before it can be towed. It looks like the Fuse Bypass Switch would be ideal. I was hoping someone had experience with this setup.
Thanks.

What gas mileage do you get with the Acadia or Enclave in city driving?

GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave as a Towed Vehicle

Interested in GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave owners towing four down.
1. Any problems towing? Tire wear or other issues?
2. Any maintenance issues with your Acadia or Enclave?
Overall, how well do you like the Acadia or Enclave as a tow vehicle?

2012 Honda CRV Wiring for Brake Buddy

I am preparing our 2012 Honda CRV for towing. I plan to use a new Brake Buddy Vantage Select. The breakaway system requires wiring run from the front of the vehicle into the passenger compartment so it can be plugged into the Brake Buddy. The instructions suggest you drill a hole in the firewall.
I spent a couple of hours attempting to find a location to run this wire and gave up. It appears the new CRV has a double wall firewall. Our previous CRV (2008) had a grommet in the center of the firewall that worked for running wires. The new CRV does not have this grommet.
Has anyone been successful in running wires into the passenger compartment in the 2012 Honda CRV?

RE: Newmar or Tiffin

How do I unsubscribe to this thread? The back and forth between Tiffin and Newmar is getting old.
