Sounds like he had good life,& healthy,,didn't suffer. That's the way to go. Now he will be waiting at the bridge. Sorry for your loss...

Great idea about posting good experiences,,too many people just post negative stuff. Our goods ones far out weigh any bad ones,,wait,we haven't had any bad ones,,Great folks out there!
You will notice same with news,nice,happy good things don't make the news,just terrible,bad stuff,,it's really too bad too,cause lots of good things happen too,,jmho

I don't know anywhere you can sell those items but when we just downsized from our fulltime fiver to a small trailer I took a truck load of stuff including the Dish satellite, blue tote, portable jacks, hoses, and whole bunch of other stuff to our local animal shelter thrift store. One week later I went there looking for other stuff and noticed that everything I had donated was sold. For me, that was worth far more than what I could have gotten for the stuff...supporting homeless, strays and other abandon animals.

Sorry for the loss of a friend,,,,,,we had that happen in April of 12,,rescued our next sweetheart from humane society,,really helps to ease the pain of losing one by helping one that doesn't have any love,or home,,

It was a seriously great day for me when the eagle landed in our checking account three years ago. We both took it at 62 and never regretted it.
It still seems like free money (even though I worked hard for 40 years and still work part time to earn it)...but I don't let anybody in DC hear those thoughts.
The bad news is ... Medicare isn't free ($100 a month) and it comes out of your SS starting at 65...and you still have copays unless you spring for supplemental coverage, which ain't cheap. And then there's the drug plan you have to buy now whether you want/need it or not because you'll be penalized later for not getting it....
(Stepping off my soap box now.)
I get medicare, which is great,my supplement costs me 35.00 per month,covers what medicare doesn't,& meds,,,just do some checking,its out there,, when working, we were paying ove 600.00 a month
