RE: OOOPS! Left My Door Open Today!

OK.. will share.. LOL.. Went out last thing at night with furkid, locked up the truck, went inside and locked up door (2 locks) for the night and the next morning keys were on the picnic table. Guess I laid them down to take off collar and leash on cocker, went in and that was it for the night! Surprise!!!! Just the other day, now have a Class C, locked up entry door, both locks. Came back, forgot to lock the cab doors. Hmmmm.

RE: leveling

I always kept the legs the same level, even if I had to put a board or lynx leveler to even them up. I took a magic marker and marked the holes on the inside of the leg and that way I didn't have to actually count 1,2,3,etc. Drop to about 1" above ground, check for being level and work from there.

RE: location of Power Converter

We had a 2003 PW Excel. It was under the power-sofa. From the rear door, where there was storage room for a few things, a white panel in front of storage and sides of storage, was the converter. Had to replace it, that is why I know where it was located in that coach. Hard to see.

RE: I have an odd question, have you forgotten where you are?

Yep, after a few days on the road, wake up and know I am in the RV (live full-time)but not sure where...gee, thought it was only me. We just got back in today from a few days away running from the storm which wasn't much of a storm, but opened the RV door and my cocker looked outside and had a funny look on his face..he didn't recognize the territory around the RV. That was the first time that has happened to him. Took him just a minute to get oriented and off we went.

RE: Lazy Days Salesman

Mike Nasco, without a doubt! Super nice, not pushy. We purchased from him last July, just had unit back last week for a problem which stemmed from bad electric at a campground, and Mike was right there to provide any help he could.. 10 months after the sale! I call that great.

RE: Highway 84 across Louisanna

A few years back I drove a Class A with toad from Valdosta, GA to Waco, TX. I remember US84 as a very pleasant, easy going drive. Enjoyed it.

RE: Allergic to chicken ???

My cocker spaniel, now 12, is allergic to chicken. Lots of stomach issues. Just recently slowly changed him over from Lamb (which actually had chicken in it) to the Nutro Grain Free Lamb and Potato in the a.m. (small amount, maybe 1/4 can) and for supper he gets Blue Lamb about 1/2 small can with an extra lean ground beef pattie. He still mangages to get about 1/2 small can of Cesar's Lamb (which has the chicken, but he won't let go of that.) He is so much better stomach wise. Have to watch the treats, too. They contain a little chicken. He has had the stomach problem since he was 5 months old. Blood work-up is very good.

RE: Passport America Camping Directory

I haven't received mine either. Usually have to call. Lifetime membership. I use the app and the internet in the meantime. Guess I'll call tomorrow... They will be flooded with calls and wonder why! :)

RE: Best route from Navarre FL to I-65 and on north to TN

We take I-10 to 231 north and pickup I-65 around Montgomery. 231 easy road to travel and not hard to navigate around Montgomery.

RE: It's Been Fun and Thanks

x2 Sandia Man... Have had A's, B, C's and fifth-wheels. Click on Newest Topics and read on... I have shed a tear or two when a couple of them got traded, but always end up enjoying the new one. Things to do, roads to travel.

RE: Lock your gas tank

I have used lockable gas caps on the mh's or trucks, but then I heard they were cutting the gas lines to get the gas out. So, I guess have to figure out which would be better. Good idea as I am sure some folks haven't thought of it.

RE: Service Dept at Camping World in Garner, SC

You are welcome... I was so impressed by the way the whole situation was handled. BTW, the campground owner stepped up and paid for the damaged converter. We chose not to have the inverter replaced at this time.

Service Dept at Camping World in Garner, SC

We are on the road and currently in NC. We had a bad electrical hookup Friday night, which ruined our converter and inverter. I called the CW store in Garner, SC and spoke with Tom Mertes and explained what happened to us. He "worked" us in and between Mr. Mertes and the tech had us back on the road in good time. I highly compliment Tom Mertes and the RV tech (didn't get his name) for their concern and keeping us updated constantly on the progress and problems. The CW staff were also very courteous and offered us various things to make our wait more comfortable along with our cocker spaniel. Thanks ever much for the great service.

RE: KOA Reservations vs what you get when you arrive

I am in a KOA in Starke, FL right now. One of the prettiest KOA's we have stayed in. Motorhome and toad fit very nice on the site with room to spare. No, I don't lie about the size of the rig. Haven't been disappointed yet and have been RVing 21 years. I also seem to remember with a KOA card, if you are not happy with your site, you have the option to change within a reasonable length of time, like an hour or so. I have changed a few times due to being to unlevel or some reason like that. Never a problem.

RE: Max Air Vents & Fans?

I just had 2 installed on my Winnebago, one the regular Max air vent cover over the bathroom vent and the larger one over the kitchen Fantastic fan. I was told the small Max air cover would not allow sufficient air flow for the Fantastic fan and it would burn out the motor. Nothing was said about running it on low, med or high.

RE: Travel Assist Question...

I have it, haven't had to use it yet (fortunately!) I do all the driving and if something happened to me, my husband would not be able to get our motorhome/toad home. If something medical happens to him, I would consider this program to be very useful to me. Will definitely renew when the year is up.

RE: Jasper,Georgia area CG

I stayed at Plum Nelly CG this past October. Not a resort, but enjoyed the folks and it was about 1=1/2 miles to WallyWorld, lots of restaurants, drugstores, etc. 515 excellent road. Office lady was real helpful and friendly.
