Lance Campers Customer Support

Just wanted to thank the staff at Lance Customer Support for doing a great job.
My newly delivered 2013 Lance 1575 travel trailer came with a faulty refrigerator propane cooling unit. Within days Mike C. & Mike W. arraigned for a one day remove & replace of the faulty refrigerator at Lance in Lancaster, Ca.
Sure enough, Matthew (mechanic) did a fast turnaround and we were rolling by 5 pm. Now we can begin our first trip to Yosemite next week.
Thanks again Mike,Mike, Matthew & the entire staff at Lance Campers.

RE: Mounting generator on tongue

These are all good reccomendations. As for use, the tongue is primarily for transportation. I may use it for short stops in high heat areas. (Highway rest stops).
At camp, it would be secured to the nearest rock, tree, or tow vehicle.
In the end, it is impossible to prevent theft by a determined and motivated miscreant. Thats why we have insurance.
By the by, has anyone purchased and used the steel handle reinforcement sold by Honda?

RE: Mounting generator on tongue

Great advice. I had not considered the issues brought up. And that reciever hitch tray would save me a lot of fabrication. Thanks:B

Mounting generator on tongue

I plan on mounting a Honda EU2000 (34 lbs)on the tongue of my Lance 1575.
Has anyone done this mod? If so any suggestions?
Plans call for using 1.5 inch angle iron to frame a base. Drill and bolt to the frame, as close to the rock guard as possible. Then mount the generator and battery side-by-side. Leave a gap to access the battery cut-off switch.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Lance 1575 Jensen AM/FM/DVD removal

On the 1575, is the factory installed television swing away mount attached to the side wall or the side of the Jensen radio cabinet?

RE: New Lance 1575 Owner and new to forums

Thanks Issaquah. I picked up my 2013 1575 two weeks ago and have yet to find any problems (*knock on wood*). Sorry to hear about your problems. I'm hoping the quality build has improved for the current production run.

PRIMUS IQ - always on?

I installed a PRIMUS IQ brake controller in a 2009 Toyota Tacoma using Tekonsha's Plug-in wiring adapter.
With the ignition in the OFF position and key removed, I plugged in the PRIMUS IQ. It immediately powers up and remains on. Is this normal?
The only connection i made was the white wire to ground. The harness plugged into the existing truck connector. Any ideas?
