Should you travel with a full tank of Gas?

Let me know what you think about traveling with a full tank of gas. Does it course you Miles per gal. to go down or is the unit designed and the MPG that is listed for that unit allow for a full tank of gas.
What do you think?

RE: Are Camp Grounds Really that Safe?

You know it seems that when you get to a CG the first thing you should look for is how many permanent residents are there, or before you get there view the CG on the web and view there pictures of there sit’s you will be able to notice how many permanent residents there maybe, From my experience it seems that these people believe that visitors are not welcome for some reason. :h

RE: Are Camp Grounds Really that Safe?

I have been to one CG in Pa that when my wife and I got there, we stayed 20 min’s and we were gone, didn’t even ask forour money back, it was that bad…….
One thing that coursed us to make this decision was after talking to the own of the CG in regards to where the picnic table was, he said “ Oh they are always taking them” and then we had to cut the grass to gat to the water…… and that was it and we were gone.:(

RE: Dolly rental to pull car with RV??? Help!!

Hi Willald:
Come on, you know that after buying and MH one of the first things that need to done is hooking up a tow bar! if you don’t you are at the mercy of public transportation and stuck at the CG and unable to travel around the area your in, granted there are times you don’t need your vehicle!
Why spend the money on renting a dolly when you know your going to set-up a tow anyway………………

I own a Odyssey and tow it with all 4 down with no problem at all….
Hook up is fast and easy, you’ll under stand this after moving the dolly around , and storing it, that this was not the right choice!

More traveling in Summer then Winter, WHY!

Hi everyone…
You know I don’t understand for the life of me why I keep reading about people who have an RV and talk about winterizing it in the winter? And storing it away , And how much traveling they do in the warmer months of he year.
Am I missing something? And to top it off these same people travel south for the summer?
And then not use there RV in the winter…
I would think you would use it much more in winter months to brake up the cold months of the year.
And please don’t tell me the kid’s are out of school…… there are several holiday during the winter to travel, and please don’t tell me the camp grounds are close, all the camp grounds in the south are open.
So tell me, Why don’t we do as mush traveling in the winter as we do in the summer?
Happy Camping

RE: Don't Make the same mistake I did!

And to all you people that keep saying,” Did you purchase it sight unseen?”,”Or it’s an entry leave Coach, what did you expect” Give it a break, I don’t care how much you spend on your MH you still deserve the same service and workmen ship no matter what!
Shame on Coachmen, Forest River!

RE: Don't Make the same mistake I did!

“Manufacturer’s entry level units” I hear a lot of this, and I would like to know does this mean if I didn’t pay $200,000 plus I shouldn’t be complaining????
Can I expect the same quality workmen ship as everyone else does….. or does this “entry level unit” does not count….

RE: Don't Make the same mistake I did!

I know “banging the key board here” will not take care of the repairs that are needed, But I do hope to possibly stop this from happening to someone elsa!
As far a list from the dealer and going to the manufacturer with the list, I did all that.
And you know what tops it all……
I call ford for service on this unit (2012 Mirada), and gave them the vin number, and they told me that this was a 2011 Ford not a 2012 Ford….

RE: Don't Make the same mistake I did!

Your right I did say that, however the question still is
"Does this mean if you miss something in your walk thru you own it?"
Then you say "you participated in a poor walk-thru so you have as much blame as the dealer did in a poor pre-delivery setup" are you kidding.....
And you say I should suck it up, get the problems fixed and move on.
Your must be a RV dealer.....

RE: Don't Make the same mistake I did!

I will be bring this 2012 Mirada to the September 12, 2012 RV Show at Hershey, PA for everyone to see all the defects , And I will have big signs on this unit for everyone who would like to check out the inside and outside before they possibly buy this unit!

RE: Don't Make the same mistake I did!

I would think that there reputation Would mean a lot more to Coachmen / Forest River, as well as the dealership (Boat & RV of PA) to do the right thing and make the necessary repair as need be, I mean I paid for a new 2012 Mirada not a used Mirada, seeing the studs on the side of this unit is totally unacceptable I think, If I am wrong please let me know, and that’s besides all the other problems with this unit.
