RE: Ways to feel more secure while sleeping out on the road

and the OP now has this.... "I will have 2 different firearms with me"
TWO firearms? one for each hand?
Gary Haupt
One is none, two is one...
Neither do I believe one screwdriver is enough... Do I expect trouble? No. Do I want it? No, Ive seen plenty in my profession. Am I prepared? Yes.

RE: Next problem, step not retracting.....

Before you start replacing parts....
If the step will not retract when you turn on the ignition, I would be willing to bet that the magnet in the door sill is out of alignment.
Same problem I had.

RE: Windows 8????

I bought a new desktop for the family that has Windows 8. I haven't even attempted to figure it out. My kids (14-22 years old) have, and they hate it.

RE: New Tiffin Options

I had the heat pump installed as an option when we ordered our 2008 35 QBA. Big mistake. The thing has never worked right from day one. When using the air conditioning, it barely moves the air through the ductwork. I split the overhead ducting so that the smaller rear unit handles most of the cooling through the rear five vents. Even though it only has to move the air through the three forward vents, you can barely tell it's working. It frequently trips the breakers on the 7k generator. The dealership could find nothing wrong with it. It's the one regret I have about my purchase. Maybe one day I can replace it... :R
The driver door is great. I don't have to worry about tracking gas station gunk through the coach. It came in really handy when the coach door broke a couple of years ago. Coach door wouldn't open. Locksmith said it's a common problem with coach doors. Cheap parts in the latch. Anyways, we didn't have to try and climb out a window...

RE: Advice on Costco or Sam's Club?

We have purchased 2 TVs there and they offer a 2 year extended warranty at no charge.
That's a great bonus! Is that apply only to TVs?
No. Most of the electronics I believe...

RE: TV Removal

I have a 2008 Allegro 35QBA and face the same issue. The rear CRT TV quit working last year and I removed it fairly easily. Replaced it with a nice Vizio LCD, making the wife very happy...:)
The front TV, well that's another story. I removed the trim around it while attempting to place a satellite radio antenna. Bad idea, broke the trim frame in half. Just looking at the TV now, it appears that if I remove two screws, it'll come out. The two screws are through the upper corners of the TV and into the TV frame box. That appears to be all that's holding the TV in the frame. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I can take a couple of photos and post them...

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Removed the old CRT TV in the bedroom. Installed a 24 inch LCD TV and Blu-Ray player.
Changed the oil and filter on the generator.

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

A week ago, I added an Extend-A-Stay connection to the propane system. Today, I added two Costco LED strips. One above the woefully lit stove, and the other above the entryway for those late night dry camping entries!

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Today, I fixed a piece of trim which had been broken off. I installed and extend-a-stay in preparation for our yearly deer hunting trip. A couple of weeks ago, I replaced five stock lamps with LEDs.

RE: Low priced leds, fast shipping

The only ones i have used was the SMD BOARD 36-1210 type LED 252 LUMENS from ebay china $4.99
The small size of the board startled me as well... Was expecting it to be same size as the Command Electronics 170-111 boards they replaced. I loved the way the Command electronics boards worked but couldnt live with the resulting RFI their on-bpoard regulator chip emitted. The ebay china boards dont have any such regulator chips as your photos show and they work just fine for me. I am almost two years now on 5 SMD boards I am using and only have one SMD board with three LEDs out in a roll on one board...
I am experiencing an adapter problem on one board where the spring wire isnt making good contact with the trailer 921 socket all the time. I need to slide a small insulating strip of something under the wire to keep it touching the 921 socket connection.
I also DO NOT experience any abnormal heat source from this ebay china series LED BOARDS that I have been reading about on other posts. These SMD boards will get warm but not HOT. I can place my finger right on the LED board with it "ON" and it is only warm to touch in the two dual fixures and the one single fixure they are installed in..
Me happy camper with using the $4.99 ebay china 252 LUMENS 36-1210 type LED SMD board...
I may also order the smaller LUMENS mode you were showing as well. That looks like a good deal to me as well...
Thanks for all the photos...
I think these, are the same that you ordered? I ordered five and received them in about two weeks. Installed them this evening. Definitely a whiter color than our 1141 bulbs, but the DW and I am impressed. Looks like the price has gone down $.41 since you ordered yours. I'm ordering more!

RE: Doughboys

The biscuits are the smaller sized ones. Around here they come packaged four tubes wrapped together.

Wow. You guys must be retired? You're putting a lot of effort into this... :B I just sit back and forget about everything while I cook them... :p
Yeah, it's kind of a disease where you want to over-engineer everything that you got by with before.:B
Can't wait to catch that disease!

RE: Doughboys

Good ideas all. These do require some patience, to cook slowly enough that the inside cooks. Unless Super Dave completes a closet rod upgrade! Looking forward to see what you come up with. I think I'm gonna try the drawer pulls!
Sure, I would become famous for something that doesn't make me any money...:(

The closet rod is wood. Home Depot, Lowes, or whatever, you can get them there.
