RE: How do you get the buildup off of a wool polishing pad?

Only use a Citrus cleaner(orange stuff sold in big box stores), spray it on the pad then wash it out in luke warm water. Do this several times till its washing clean. After reinstall it back on the Buffer and lay the Buffer upside down on high for ten min. or so till it feels dry. It cuts polish and compounds. Its how its done in Body Shops.... Blessings,

RE: Screen door dragging

www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/screen-door-cross-bar/35872 Purchase two of these, and install one above the sliding latch door & the other just below. They work GREAT! They will assist some folks who have trouble going in and out. This last summer I installed several of these setups on rigs. Best bet take your time measure, calculate & measure(use pencil for making marks) again then drill your pilot hole(slightly smaller than the screws that it comes with)its soft metal and will expand torquing the screws in making them stiff. The cross support of two of these keep that continuous pushing down on the opening latch from un-square-ing the door. Us the first install(bar) as a template to the second one you put on the door. Its an easy project with Great results. Blessings,

RE: Looking for an invertor generator

Can't see spending thousands on a rig and not choosing the best to feed it Clean reliable Power,Water(Good filtering), or decent chemicals.... You get what you pay for. Yamaha would be first choice & Honda next. You hardly find any write ups on Yamaha, & once and a while articles on Honda. So leaning the more direction in Yamaha's.... Also if your not full timers its a added insurance for your home just in case. Neighborhood transformers do go out and sometimes will be down for hours. Not just saying, we lost power for one hour forty five min. Sat. evening. Was not long enough to fire it up but was beginning to think of it as a back up if it had gone on. Blessings,

RE: Any suggestions for a quiet, clean campground?

Silver Lake would fit the bill. :D This is a Great spot & Great Family run park. It does have a little altitude coming in at just under 8000ft. Give yourself a day to acclimate relax which is very very easy to do with the sites(Lakes,Waterfalls,Aspen Trees}& you'll be good to go! Campground Hosts are the BEST...say Hello to the R's Randy & Ricki, Most wonderful Folks. There is a Great Cafe for Breakfast/Lunch Oh My!!! This is a very old resort in the Sierra Mountains dating back to 1916 and can be found at Silverlakeresort.net (note the .net & not .com) Blessings,

RE: screw lengths for outside wall penatration

Go with a Stainless #10 3/4 sheet metal screw threaded the full length, can be found at big box stores. Also pre drill a pilot hole smaller by a tad then the inside diameter of the screw looking at the side profile DO NOT include the flair out from the thread just the shaft down the center. Smaller is usually better....fill the hole with silicone for water proofing. This is of coarse for a fiberglass exterior. If the rig is metal, go with a polyurethane adhesive. Can be found at big box or hardware store, comes in toothpaste size tube or caulking gun size. Where gloves, stuff is sticky as pancake syrup. Glue and then duct tape just the bracket in place over night. Caution once it is glued its there for eternity. Good Luck Blessings,

RE: reciver hitch on 5ver for boat.

Pressure_Welder Thank You for getting back, Worked 30+ with some of the best stick pushers metal fabers..with your skills they sure would have had you living under the hood. I could kick my arsk for not learning more while being around them. As you say here in SoCal it did not appeal as a young man to me the heat & smoke, so I just took the mechanical route instead keeping things running. The results is I only push wire. The ideas you wrote about send a stop rethink before tackling approach to my project. Would like the functionable side of a receiver. Attending some grad parties for the weekend so would like to pick this up with you there after. I'm sure this article pulls its weight in interest.. Blessings,

RE: reciver hitch on 5ver for boat.

Really nice well crafted work." Great Skills" Even over and under welds on the fish plate. Two questions for you being your a pro at this. (1)The frame of the rig is some very thin steel at the connecting square tube point(side of the I beam) will a couple gussets be in order to spread the stress and reenforce. (2) Is there any tricks to welding underneath the rig? Catching a arc ball in the wrong place is pretty scarey... I have been planning an extension off the back of my rig to carry a large box about the size of a job box. The plan is to piggy back or stack the I beams adding gussets to the sides to prevent ripping down at the "T" part of the frame. As I was saying before Great craftsmanship nice to see a good welder. Thank You, Blessings

RE: Anybody got a bucket of elbow greese?

Wow.....I do remember all the hard work I used to put into mine. Then I went to RED MAX PRO,... O MY GOSH.. I can't say it enough, why put yourself through all that for just a couple of weeks of shine. I did my rig almost two years ago and the thing barely needs a wash to clean it up to the most gorgeous wet look shine you could ask for (rain does a pretty good job alone). As for the front cap the bugs just simply hose off when I get to my destination. Please do yourself a big favor and do the search here for the RED MAX PRO treatment. Its under a different name now but the write ups will explain the new stuff under the new name. Do it once, do it right, and move on to the enjoyment of just plain ownership....Good Luck Blessings

RE: KOA Rewards Card

Have you checked out Passport America? Great for just passing thru and some are better than others. Cross check the park with woodalls directory. Some parks can be off the Hwy., while others may be in tim Buck two not worth the gas. Two nights stay will pay for the membership in savings. Good Luck... Blessings

RE: New shocks needed???

Ditto on the monroes... installed dexter easy flex and monroe shocks & a 5th air borne pin box. Darn near set my coffee on the counter leaving in the morning & it would probably be there when we arrive at our destination. Made a big difference. China junk will last long enough to get you off the lot when the rig is new, thats about it in a nut shell. Good Luck... Blessings,
