RE: Require recommendations for deep cycle rv batteries

Do you ever camp on 12 volt alone? If not get the cheap Wal-Mart deep cycle. If you do camp on 12 volt only, get the largest Trojans that will fit.

Solar Automatic Storage Water Heater

I have a solar automatic storage water heater with both 24 and 120 volt circulating pumps. I'm trying to figure out how it works. My main question is the optimal setting of the electric heater. And it seems the 120 volt pump never runs. It has a thermostat and is on the house water. The 24 volt pumps runs frequently and is on the solar side.

RE: Which balance beads where to get installed near Houston, TX

My experience is my truck was never as smooth after installing beads.

RE: Electrical issues during walk-through

With Marcus trying to get Camping World turned around, they can't have this type of stuff happening. I'm pretty sure they will try to fix everything for you. In a case like this, I think they should return your downpay and let you walk--if you wish. Probably need to let them know that soon.

RE: F350 SRW and a 7000 pound 24 foot fifth. What hitch?

If there are rails in it and they fit a hitch you can find, make sure the rails are left--PAY EXTRA. I just put rails in my new truck. That job really sucks. This is my 6-7 install now and it keeps getting worse with new heat shields and such.

RE: Don't trust the GSRA phone people

I'll stay with AAA. GSRA hasn't done anything to convince me to switch. Good luck using your AAA in another state.

RE: ALCAN Highway

They still get precipitation and very cold winters along the Alaska Highway. Until that stops there are going to be road problems.

RE: Universal Studios/Key West Campground - Florida

http://www.geigerkeymarina.com/rv-home http://www.boydscampground.com/ Bahia Honda State Park is only $43 a nite, but is about an hour from Key West. It's very difficult to get a site there, they sell out 11 months in advance. http://knightskeyrvresortandmarina.com/ This is in Marathon, more affordable than the 2 above. It's more than an hour to Key West. .

RE: Chevrolet Camper Wiring in back now?

It will be cheaper to buy a 7 pin extension cable than the factory harness. I used one on the last truck. Plugged into the bumper connector, and then up thru the void between the bedside panels to a single hole where I wanted it mounted. When not towing I removed it from the rear connector and slid it up in the hitch tube. Rigid hitch in MN had it, I'm sure other suppliers have them also. I think it was $30~. I'm looking for something with more of a finished look.

RE: Chevrolet Camper Wiring in back now?

I definetly got the $35 Camper Wiring Option on my 2015 Chevrolet 3500 and it is now located in front of the rear bumper. It has enough length to reach any area behind the dual wheel well. This is my 5th Duramax and the wiring is different now.

RE: Chevrolet Camper Wiring in back now?

I am talking about the $35 optional Camper Wiring Package. It's a length of the 7 wire with no plug. Up to 2012 (at least), it's been located on front of the box on the right side. On my 2015 Chevy, the wiring bundle is located on the rear end of the box in the center. It has always worked well to have my connection located in front of the wheel well. It is now located behind the wheel well which will add a step to my hook-up.

Chevrolet Camper Wiring in back now?

I looking for the camper wiring in my 2015 Chevrolet. Looks like it in the back now? No longer on the front of the box?

RE: Fantasy Tours Albuquerque Balloon Fest

. The balloon festival is "generic" (available to everyone), however "Fantasy Tours thru FMCA" is not. Since FMCA is *exclusively* an organization for Motor Home owners, your post probably belongs in the Class A Motor Home forum - rather than - General RVing Issues. ~ http://fantasyrvtours.com/rallies/albuquerque/albuquerque.html There is not one word about FMCA or motorhome mentioned.
