RE: Is anyplace in Arizona warm in winter?

Another vote for Yuma. Warmest average annual temperature in the continental USA. Paul But it's not the warmest in the winter. South Florida is 7-10 degrees warmer in Jan.

RE: Denali RV Park?

Yeah, I was staying at Denali and took an over the top flight. I spotted Tek on the way back and wanted to go there. Denali actually gave my money back.

RE: Best Way to Pay for Gas in NM, Co. Utah ?

Places like Loves and Flying J don't charge extra for credit purchases made on the diesel pumps out front----just in the truck lanes. .

RE: Newmar Quality

FWIW, I talked to a very unhappy New Horizon owner last February. Had it back to the mfgr several times for basically poor quality problems including an elec. fire. I guess any of them can turn into spit. I too will quit RVing if I can't find something w/o lippert. Craig I took the tour. They had one unit where they cut a window hole in the wrong location---so they "patched" it. They wanted $70K more for a comparable DRV Elite Suites.

RE: More things to NOT cross the border with...

Almost makes you want to stay home doesn't it... Roy Ken Nope! Makes me want to set a lawn chair with the appropriate beverage, and watch the entertainment! :B I watched them unload a pickup with topper---the back end was copletely jammed full when they started. Empty when they were done. I didn't get to see who loaded it.

RE: 2002 Big sky montana 3670 missing fridge and stove

Your fridge is most likely the standard size. It isn't a 2 door wide one? Then just go buy a standard fridge. Same with stove.

RE: HD DVR dedicated inverter

Hooked up the Samlex 350 today. Damn fan runs all the time, and consequently the unit imparts vibration to the shelf. . From Amazon----"Unlike the PST series and other ones from Samlex, this fan is not temperature controlled, it is load controlled and the fan comes on regardless of what temperature it's actually running at * Fan is quite noisy even at no load"

RE: Older 5th wheels with thin roofs

The 97 Snowbird was built with a vacubonded "ceiling", an airspace and layer of plywood above that. I think it's 1/2". It is a very well built with 2x2 vacubonded with blue foam and a layer of 1/2" on top of that. Look at the "ceiling" of your basement where a pipe goes through and you can see how it's built. .

RE: Fresh water tank filling by itself

Do you have a tank fill valve on your city water?

RE: Crossing US Canada and back conflicting info on dogs

To the thread starter: Stop and think, common sense. & yes, I have read it on a Canadian page: your pet is to be in good health. Would you expect anything else? & yes, I have moved in the last few years. & vets in both places recommended a health certificate. Again, common sense. Why in the dickens do you or anyone else think that is a conflict? :C Since a health certificate isn't required, common sense would dictate one isn't needed.

RE: Diesel fueling Etiquette

My plan is to get in and get out, no screwing around. I go to whatever pump--usually out front. If I cen get the PU to a pump and then back out fine. What ever is fast and easy. The pumps out front take credit cards, usually the truck pumps don't.

RE: Goodyear tire pre-mature blowouts/tread seperation

I,d keep the tire to, if you give it to them you lost your hold on them . They won't lift a finger until they receive and inspect the tire.

RE: Goodyear tire pre-mature blowouts/tread seperation

I found it easier to just turn into insurance. What's your deductible?

RE: Goodyear tire pre-mature blowouts/tread seperation

I went to a Goodyear dealer and they sent the trie in for inspection. On another ocassion I had to ship a BFG to Michelin. I think I got the number to call from a tire dealer. They paid for the tire, shipping and damage.
