RE: Automatic levelers on uneven ground

Never had a level up system, but I thought the purpose was you didn't have to use blocks or boards. The purpose is to support and level the rear of the trailer.

RE: USA Sticker Maps - Settle an argument!

I love my maps. They are from travels I made with my previous fifth wheel. Traveled well over 200,000 miles in 10 years in that rig. Sadly, now I travel only between winter and summer homes.

RE: Got me yet again. Folks stay away from CW service

You said you could replace the batteries in an hour--but you actually couldn't do it at all because of the storm. And you never said why you waited till the last second, in the middle of a storm, to replace them.

RE: Borrego Sprigs RV short stay in February

The Springs is a really nice place. I don't golf, either. For me, that would be the only place to stay.

RE: Reserve America reservation fee for FL State Parks

Used to be, at any given time, I would have $3000 of paid reservations at Keys campgrounds for FORTY THREE bucks a nite. Change fees and such--just a part of the deal.

RE: Trojan T105 Replacement

How about some T-145's?

RE: The Hitch after Rain

Yea leaving the hitch on is IMHO just lazy and rude! In all of my years RVing and being here on The Forum, I have never thought, heard or read that leaving a hitch on is lazy or especially--rude.

RE: salud Popular

I was with a group in Mexico where a guy had a stroke on the bus. It was close to a hospital and he was there shortly. They basically did nothing for him and sent him on his way the next day. He definitely wasn't "right". Had he been in the US or Canada, he probably would have gotten the treatment he needed. Don't know what they charged him.

RE: T-Mobile Borderless Cell Plan - is this too good to be true?

I'm on the old $40 unlimited plan---works for me!

RE: Caravan Trip to Alaska

I have been on 3 caravans trips---all to Mexico. For me, the caravan was a really good fit. A great way to see a lot of Mexico. Pretty sure I won't be back. I have also made 6 trips to Alaska---all solo. I suggest you study the caravan itineraries, get the "Church" book and The Milepost and start planning your trip.

RE: Bare Aluminum Wheel Protectant

Go to a large INDEPENDENT auto parts store and look through the polish section I tried NAPA, didn't see anything there.

Bare Aluminum Wheel Protectant

Harley has bare aluminum wheel protectant wipes. Are there any other wipe on or spray on products like that?

RE: Removing tar splattered all over back of trailer

Lacquer thinner, acetone ??? You joking, right. Isn't that to hard on the paint? No joke, I have used lacquer thinner for years. A little goes a long way. Dont spatter it all over, gently rub the tar spot with your rag covered finger, tar comes right off. Follow up with wax. I used thinner on my rig after my last Alaska trip---big mistake, the paint was never the same.

RE: Border Crossing To U.S.

2005 crossing into Canada from the UP. Lady was nice and asked where we were going and how long we expected to stay or something. At one point she asked our names and read back to us our address here in the states. They had sophisticated data access then. Asked m for my Pick up plate number said I don't know, I;; get it. Got out and no way to get under the Fifth Wheel to read it. DO NOT get out of your vehicle----unless told to.

RE: Update 5th Wheel - Hitch issue

A new hitch looks like a new hitch. They don't come from the factory "abused looking"---surely you know that?

RE: 5th wheel popped out of hitch

The lock was just hanging there... We did use a lock going to a clip. What does this mean? A trailer can pull the hitch open if the handle lock allows the handle to move out. Need to have that down and locked!!

RE: Mexico RV tourist....

Back in 2008 the major Caravans went together and built a campground in Mazatlan. Then they cancelled all of the trips in 2009 and had none for years.

RE: Nova Scotia Plate Fees

When they weigh you---will they have you take everything out and dump all water for a "dry weight"?
