RE: Mexico RV tourist....

Back in 2008 the major Caravans went together and built a campground in Mazatlan. Then they cancelled all of the trips in 2009 and had none for years.

RE: Nova Scotia Plate Fees

When they weigh you---will they have you take everything out and dump all water for a "dry weight"?

RE: Spot Light

My Father's Day present a few years ago was a 40mil CP HID, and it's awesome... What and where can I find something like that?

Spot Light

I always used the 1 or 2 million CP spot lights and wonder how the LED and the HID stack up?

I currently have 2014 Elite Suites that I am very happy with. I previously had 2004 Newmar Mountain Aire. In terms of any thing you want to measure, the 2004 HR Presidential was no where in the league, of the Newmar. And to compare it to a 2015 DVR???

RE: Mr Moro's

That is great news , however until highway 15 is totally reconstructed it will be tough to get many takers. Add in Ridiculous Tolls and Higher Fuel Prices in Mexico vs the USA. We will be heading East to Texas before going South into Mexico for the next few Years! better Roads, Cheaper Fuel and Fewer Tolls is The main reason in My Humble opinion! So overall, food, lodging, exchange rate, etc---how much more do you think it will cost to stay in the States?

RE: When Fear in Mexico is Real

I was with a group in Veracruz where one of the guys had a stroke---I saw it happen. He was at the hospital in a few minutes. They basically did nothing for him and sent him on his way the next day. He obviously wasn't "right". Had he been in the States, he probably would have had the clot buster he needed.

RE: generator switch.

Connect the black hot transfer switch output to both of the 50 amp service black and red leads. White to white, green to green.

RE: Nebraska higher than Alaska?

Your profile shows you as a National Director. Of what, exactly? Gary Haupt Directions!

Nebraska higher than Alaska?

I read in HOG Magazine that Nebraska has higher paved roads than Alaska. Alaska's highest is 3322 on the Glenn Hwy. Nebraska comes in at 5105 out on I-80.

RE: Computer Video Problem

It happens on Youtube videos. The computer is 3 years old, used to work fine.

Computer Video Problem

When I try to watch any video on my computer, the picture is "blown up". How can I fix that?

RE: South to North or North to South

I lived in the Midwest for years, bought a "2nd" home (now 1st) in Florida 3 years ago. I became a Florida resident ASAP to avoid state income tax at 7%. I have a Florida homestead exemption, limiting RE tax. Motor vehicle fees are much less. Vehicle insurance doubled, though.

RE: What's Going On with Skagway RV Sites?

However I was told that there was a an area not far from town that was available for dry camping and it was rarely filled up. I went to Skagway once when all of the RV parks were full. I had to go to the Police dept to get an OK to camp on the creek north of town. Looked like that area was closed and fenced last time I was there?

What is that one thing called?

Those tri-fold "view blocker" things about 5' tall--what's it called?

RE: Migration north

I went by Sunshine Key Resort in the Keys today---looks deserted. Was packed a few days ago.

RE: Bluewater Key CG

I've been to Bluewater several times, a very nice place. But, I actually prefer Bahia Honda. The waterfront sites are west facing for great sunsets. The Bluewater waterfront sites face east. My RVing in the Keys came to a stop when I bought a waterfront home here on Big Pine.

RE: HELP! Financed Vehicles and Vehicle Permits?

When I worked at GMAC, the answer was always "no" to anyone who wanted to take a vehicle to Mexico.

RE: Another propane question (maybe)!

LPG, mostly butane--I think, is readily available. The tanks need re-certified after 12 years--so you should be good.
