Nebraska higher than Alaska?

I read in HOG Magazine that Nebraska has higher paved roads than Alaska. Alaska's highest is 3322 on the Glenn Hwy. Nebraska comes in at 5105 out on I-80.

Computer Video Problem

When I try to watch any video on my computer, the picture is "blown up". How can I fix that?

RE: South to North or North to South

I lived in the Midwest for years, bought a "2nd" home (now 1st) in Florida 3 years ago. I became a Florida resident ASAP to avoid state income tax at 7%. I have a Florida homestead exemption, limiting RE tax. Motor vehicle fees are much less. Vehicle insurance doubled, though.

RE: What's Going On with Skagway RV Sites?

However I was told that there was a an area not far from town that was available for dry camping and it was rarely filled up. I went to Skagway once when all of the RV parks were full. I had to go to the Police dept to get an OK to camp on the creek north of town. Looked like that area was closed and fenced last time I was there?

What is that one thing called?

Those tri-fold "view blocker" things about 5' tall--what's it called?

RE: Migration north

I went by Sunshine Key Resort in the Keys today---looks deserted. Was packed a few days ago.

RE: Bluewater Key CG

I've been to Bluewater several times, a very nice place. But, I actually prefer Bahia Honda. The waterfront sites are west facing for great sunsets. The Bluewater waterfront sites face east. My RVing in the Keys came to a stop when I bought a waterfront home here on Big Pine.

RE: HELP! Financed Vehicles and Vehicle Permits?

When I worked at GMAC, the answer was always "no" to anyone who wanted to take a vehicle to Mexico.

RE: Another propane question (maybe)!

LPG, mostly butane--I think, is readily available. The tanks need re-certified after 12 years--so you should be good.

RE: Pullin Creek Skagway

I don't know anything---I thought the City owned Pullen Creek and "Craig" ran it? Doesn't matter--just curious.

I'm trying to adhere a finished wood panel to an island. Liquid nails didn't work. It was still soft after 24 hours. What would be a good product?

RE: heat pump/ac

I would wait until an A/C bites the dust. Since you have two you must have 50A service so one or two space heaters would do the job. Not necessarily. You can have two AC units on a 30 amp system. Usually setup to run one or the other off shore power, both while on gen. From what I've read, a unit with a good power management will allow both to run, but have no experience on this one. No manufacturer would install 2 a/c's on a coach with only 30 amp service.

RE: heat pump/ac

I think it would take a really long time to recover the $1000 cost of a heat pump, especially in your area.
