RE: Where Do You Place Your Trash Can Or Bag?

Ours is at the end of the counter/snack bar under the folding counter extension. Bathroom is inside cabinet under the sink. And we have a real small outside trash with snapping lid that is only used when there is no critters around.

Inside TV Crank Handle Came off!

Our inside TV crank handle decided to drop from the ceiling yesterday. We have a spring, the handle, the plastic insert that turns, and the set screw. How does this go back together??? The spring first??

RE: Searching for the impossible?

We have been wintering in Rockport, TX the last few years and there are many RV parks with the items you desire! They have wonderful bay areas, a real nice undeveloped beach in Port Aransas via the free ferry. One of the best groceries in the US (HEB) which has produce from Mexico all winter. You will also find the RV parks very reasonable. The folks (winter texans and locals) are super friendly! Dogs are permitted on the beach area, but not the Rockport bay beach area. They also have a new dog park. PM us if you have questions or need more info!

RT67 South to North (Little Rock) to So. MO

We are considering taking RT 67 from Little Rock, AR up to southern MO. Has anyone taken this route? WE are pulling our TT and wondering about gas station availability, and possible campgrounds along the way. We are also not usre how to connect when looping around Little Rock. We just started our research, but would welcome any comments/suggestions via this route from fellow RV.NET'rs. Thanks in Advance! Lynn and Carol

RE: SnowBirding fo Dummies

http://www.isnowbird.com/Snowbird_Guide_To_Florida_Housing/Isnowbird.com%3A_Your_guide_to_the_Snowbird_Lifestyle.html found the above via Google. It is written for FL, we are Winter Texans and winter in Rockport, TX every year. We used to spend the winters in FL, but got tired of the over priced jammed RV parks, traffic, crowds, and the extra expenses. South TX is full of folks from Michigan and the community center even holds a Michigan day party.

RE: So how fast can you tow your trailer?

Ha ha ha Very funny. We tool along at top speed of 60 and the road needs to be smooth and straight for that. We are not living this lifestyle to hurry from place to place and miss all the fun. We use a lot of state roads and see small towns. No hurrys and no worrys.

RE: Firewood in parks

The idea of not bringing firewood is to not transport unwanted pests from one area to another. Those bugs wont know if you are in the park or not.

RE: How to keep coffe maker on counter full time?

Hi, Industrial Velcro is your friend! X2 We use it for everything. Clocks, pictures, We have a percolator so not for coffee pot but I guess that would work too.

RE: Roof Vent covers

We installed two max air covers the cheaper ones. No problems they do the job. Also fantastic fan in the bedroom. Did not get the remote one. It is just not a problem to reach up and turn it on and off. We love the fan. Blows in or out. Great for when it is between air and furnace season.

RE: Write one sentence which explains why you fulltime.

When I sit under my awning in the evening with my glass of wine I turn and smile at Lynn and I love it. Nuff said.

RE: i have no idea what i am doing

Stick to State and federal parks as much as possible. Some private RV parks restrict tents and dogs. I know it sound strange but that is how it is. I have slept many times under the stars without a tent and been quite comfy. Just do some research and you should be fine.

RE: What do you store in your TT?

We live in ours most of the time. If we are going to be absent for any amount of time we remove any food. The rest stays put.

RE: Easter Dinner

Keeping it traditional. Ham, sweet pot and green bean casserole. Had oysters on the half shell and peel and eats fresh from the gulf tonight. That will be done til fall. :(

RE: Installing Fantastic Fan - power on Cougar TT

Yes, the ceiling light fixtures are you best bet for a power source. You may need to drill a 1/2" hole in the vent hole lumber frame to get to it.

RE: Slide outs good or bad?

The slide makes our TT really comfortable! I wouldn't have a trailer without one and actually wish I had two (one in the bedroom also)! We have have never (to date, knock on wood) had any issues. We do use our trailer when traveling with the slide in and it is ok, for travel, but we deserve the extra comfort and room when setup for longer periods.

RE: unused spaces

Steel wool is a good idea! Repairs = remote eventuality??? Repairs can sometime be difficult enough in small spaces, don't add to a future headache..LOL
