maybe mass air flow sensor ?? I did clean it about 5 months ago but might need more. I will try spraying wd40 or water near intake gasket to see if motor revs up or stumbles. first time a light has appeared on this truck so I wont jump to quick at it. This old chevy pers like kitten !!!!!!!
VERY PROOVEN motor. Had old ones from 2000 and 01 and they were stout smallblocks that could take abuse ! Probably the lowest cost of maintenance motor out there. have one at work with almost 300,000 miles and still keeps going strong!!
Any gear head or true truck guy or girl will tell you that over the last 10 years, GM and dodge diesels have been proven more trustworthy and less money on cost of ownership. Yes I am a Duramax guy, but I follow the ford diesel program tight, and my boss, who is a ford guy, now stays far away from ford diesels from all money lost on the trucks he has. He has lets say lost faith in their product and their ability to stand by it!
Go to forddieselforum and look under 6.7 problems. Many out there with none, but also plenty with. Scroll through and look for different posters not just one over and over. I check all the 3 diesels that way to see who seems to be having more drama!
Had the same thing on my suburban went to autozone bought a 30 dollar fuel preasure regulator and took 15 minutes to put in then all was fixed. Everyone said it was the pump but the cheap little regulator fixed it. Go on youtube to check out
Very impressed too. I think the 6.2 will have pretty good mpg for that amount of power. I mean lots of ecoboost owners are saying they get 14-16 around town that's what the new 6.2 will get plus give you 450 ft pounds with no turbo !! I want one.
