RE: First time Class A buyers

Hi Jason, Thats not much info on the coach. However, the make and model are dear to my heart. As much as anything, I would look at the dealership you are buying it from, if in fact that is what is happening. With more info we can give you more ideas. Macktee

RE: How many of you like live in your RV?

Some of us have camped for many years leading up to the time when we decide, maybe we'll try just RVing, and some of us really are happy doing it just the way we do. And we still build a fire sometimes. JMHO Macktee

Canadian Interprovincial travel insurance?

While I was in talking to my broker about medical supplement, he asked, do you have out of province insurance. I said I thought that the provinces reciprocated on their provincial plans. He said yes, but some provinces charge more for different aspects of health care and without it you are on the hook for the difference. Now I have another insurance to look into as we are heading for Ontario at the end of the month. Sorry if I hijacked this thread but I thought I would pass it on. Macktee

RE: medical coverage in USA for Canadians

I too am looking for a good travel insurance. While I was in talking to my broker about medical supplement, he asked, do you have out of province insurance. I said I thought that the provinces reciprocated on their provincial plans. He said yes, but some provinces charge more for different aspects of health care and without it you are on the hook for the difference. RE: Motorhome Glass Insurance?

I have always had it. Last year after two separate weekend jaunts to the same CG, I had to change both sides on My Diplomat. I paid 500.00 and insurance paid 3000.00. This coach has single windshield. Macktee

RE: Did anyone else get a case of the nerves

Thank you all for the well wishes and yes it does help to know that others would want to be doing it. Trap, I know how much planning you have done as well and I'm sure we will learn from each other as we go. Thanks again. Ivylog, I know you have the same basic unit and would understand how well suited I believe it will be for fulltiming. Macktee

Did anyone else get a case of the nerves

We are now just 5 days away from full time RVing. Up until now I have been too busy to think about it. But now I am going thru the what if phase. We have been planning this for so long and now it is upon us. Anybody else go thru this at the last minute. Macktee (Tom Mackie)

Thanks Steve, thats what I thought, so I think there may be a problem. Tom Mackie

Tag Axle workings

on my 04 Dynasty, there is a rocker switch that supposedly raises and lowers the tag axle. While sitting in the drivers seat, how do you know if the tag is moving. Also, does this run off the coach batteries. I am having some work done on the unit, and had to drive the coach without the coach batteries. The light on the rocker switch, never once came on. RE: New Tires

I really don't know what model, just size and 16ply. They came in 200 dollars a tire under G670 and the Michelins. Macktee

New Tires

Well I am finally going to get home, after being out working since Dec. 27th. I made arrangements to get 6 new rear tires. They will be Bridgestone 295 80 22.5. Highly recommended by my tire guy. He said to go that route rather than the Michellins he also sells. Something about the side walls cracking. Macktee

RE: Phoenix, Mesa rv parks

We love Pueblo El Mirage out in Suprise. They have great pool areas and an 18 hole full golf course. Macktee

RE: Coach in for maintenance

I just got notified that my MH insurance has just dropped by 250/year. I never thought it was too bad before. Whoo Hoo. Also remember that a DP goes 10 - 12k miles between oil changes. Although I have never gone that long personally. Having said all that, they, like every RV, are a money pit. Macktee

RE: Who is using an Explorer Auto dish system on there RV

Thanks for the replies. Trap, I have heard all good too. I have always had Bell but I am switching over to Shaw/Direct do to everyone saying that Bell is done down south. I found a real good satalite guy out in Sylvan Lake and I am going to have him work on my unit. Macktee

Who is using an Explorer Auto dish system on there RV

The MH that I bought before Xmas, has an Explorer Auto Dish for Satalite, utilizing an E700 control box. I have always used the Moto-Sat system. Looking for any info possible. Pros and cons etc. Macktee

RE: Garmin 1490 LTM no Canada

Did you get the gps down there. If so, they never gave you the North America software. I have a Garmin 376C that I have had for over 8 years. I had to by the City Select software, to get the North America software. This is a very high end gps that I use for work in my Oilfield Company. Just a thought but thats what it sounds like to me.
