RE: #1 rule, hands in RZR at all times. WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS

Sorry guys, been busy. Here is an update for you. The first emergency repair was a dud. The plate the Dr. put in was the wrong part and installed wrong at that. My arm started growing in a U shape. The plate ended up braking in half in early Dec due to to much pressure. All I was doing when it happened was steadying myself from getting up from a chair. Heard a loud pop; didn't feel a thing. Started hurting a few hours later. Had a new "wrist specialist" by now and he verified I broke the plate. We scheduled a new reconstruction surgery 10 Jan where they took a bone graft out of my hip to replace my shattered radius bone. The surgery went very well and at just over two months the Dr. has released me. I have 90% of my motion back already and strength is at about 60%. I'm still in pain because of the continued healing, but all is well. I can drive a car, lift weights and more importantly drive my RZR. Hope this never happens to any of you. Been a pretty tough 6 months, but many have experienced worse. Thanks, Maverick

RE: Atv's in toyhaulers

You can fit two full size quads in all wide body toy haulers. Meaning anything 102" wide. Most will have 99-100"s side to side in the garage. Mav

RE: Supercharged is right!

Les are you sure the Grand National ever used a supper charger? The GNX the baddest Grand National ever built used the Garrett T-3 turbocharger with it's own inter cooler and exhaust system. I don't recall any GN Buick's ever being SC. Don He said the GNX and GNs used turbo and he other Buicks used superchargers. Mav

RE: Towing Cyclone 4100 King

Go with the dually and enjoy some serious piece of mind. On them towing it with the 2500 for the test drive. Yes, it will do it, and do it faster than a dually. Same power, less weight....but they were overloaded on the truck. It isn't all about the power and brakes are usually the same. It's usually about safe carrying capacity; which the 2500 doesn't have. RE: Towing Cyclone 4100 King

On the deposit debate. If you push the issue of them selling you a trailer WAY over the trucks factory capacities(by lying to you) they have to refund your money. Any lawyer could see to that. Mav

RE: Time to start the hunt. Need some advice.

Why is that? Are they different than any other camper that sits out year after year? Mav

RE: Towing Cyclone 4100 King

You will be 1000lbs + over your rear axle weight and 2000lbs over your GVWR with that trailer. Your truck is only rated at 14k or so towing. At 7.5k empty for the truck, add 3500lbs of pin(trust me it will be that high) and all the stuff you put in the truck, you will be 2000lbs over. Don't do it. I have towed a 40' toyhauler at 15k lbs on a 2500 before. It's not the best setup and I have over 20 years of heavy tow experience. Mav

RE: Cyclone

Yes it has a king bed. Same bedroom as the 4100 King. It also has a small twin loft if I remember correctly. Mav

RE: Time to start the hunt. Need some advice.

When the wife, other kid and dogs go we shall use the toy hauler What did you replace the Fuzion with or what are you thinking about getting? Inlaws bought our Fuzion late last year. We were going to go with a new $60+k unit with a different layout, but changed out mind. Kids are getting older, working, getting ready for college. Visitors keeping the wife from camping as much. We are probably going to keep the inlaws toy hauler('04 Sierra 39'). It's very functional and only around $15k. I would like to find a TC in the 4-8k range that can be used when it's just me and the boy and the dog. The search continues. Thanks guys! Mav

On the larger end, we have a Palomino Maverick 2902 - about 18k new, fits on a short bed, about 3000 lb dry weight and a slide. Great for multiple people ang long term trips. That is a sweet camper! Nice price too. Mav

RE: Polaris is leading the way...

They want $500 a piece for them and they only last about 500 miles more than the current tires. Doubt they corner well too. Mav

RE: Time to start the hunt. Need some advice.

The TC is for me and one kid to camp in. When the wife, other kid and dogs go we shall use the toy hauler. So a smaller TC is fine. Just needs two beds is all. I will concentrate on a short bed unit. Is there an issue putting one of these in the bed of the truck when you have fifth wheel hitch rails in there? Mav

RE: Time to start the hunt. Need some advice.

Thanks for all the valuable information guys! I am looking for a cheaper trailer so it will probably be a bit older. Is there a way to determine if the floor is rated to walk on when not in the truck? Is there an issue putting one of these in the bed of the truck when you have fifth wheel hitch rails in there? Any brands/years to stay away from? Mav

RE: Time to start the hunt. Need some advice.

deltabravo, thank you. I guess I will have to play the brackets by ear then if I buy a used camper. Didn't know if it was good or bad to unload or not. Not sure if the truck will be used after I'm there or not. Probably not truthfully. Thanks, Mav

RE: Tow vehicle - Raptor 37TS Questiom

To much pin for a 2500 in my book. Gonna put him over the axle ratings more than likely. Mav
