RE: How to mount a flat screen tv outside

. . .My only hope is that you do not interfere with other people; those that wish to get away from TV, Phones, Traffic, Lights & Noise. I for one enjoy the quiet of a conversation around a campfire or looking at stars while enjoying the quiet the forest offers. . Have had people fire up LOUD generators & listen to LOUD TV's / Stereo's after 9PM ( even until sunrise ). . Well, disturbing & inconsiderate. . .MY OPINION. . And that is just that, your opinion if you feel like you need to preach to the masses I suggest you start a post and have at it.You might even find other like minded souls looking for something to do.....

How to mount a flat screen tv outside

Looking to hang a 32 to 40" flat screen tv on the outside wall. Then bring in TV and leave flat mount intact. Have seen something that was white plastic covered that was used to hang other objects like a table or a cooker

RE: RV Kayak Rack on 5th wheel

We custom-made a rack for the front of the F-250. It bolts into frame using the same bolts the bumper attach with. Here there's also a motorcycle under the tarp behind the truck cab http://suethomas.ca/images/Alaska/20100822_DeadmanLk-Nabesna_1292.jpg width=640 http://suethomas.ca/images/RV/TruckRack_07.jpg width=640 Thanks... Great pictures on Facebook.

RE: RV Kayak Rack on 5th wheel

I made a rack for my truck to hold my 12' kayak's while towing a 5w. The Thule with front receiver is a good commercial option. The rack you picture must put the lower end of the kayak at least a foot from the pavement. That puts the top of a 13ft kayak at 14ft. I'll bet you hit every tree in town on your way to the highway. When you get to the highway, you will convert the kayak to a square ender. On the bright side, you will have a place to add a motor mount like a square ended canoe. How about a pic or two and how you made that rack...Thanks

RE: Haulin' the cart

I saw a Keystone coming up 95 north with a full dress Harley on a extended rack coming off the frame. Other then some bad road on 295 bypass he slow down some but pass me again as the road got better,I didn't see any movement of the bike as he passed me..Just what I saw. All I know it would be nice to carry a small boat down.

RE: Ability to crank out a slide out

Several years ago, after reading on this forum, about people having difficulty manually open or closing their slides and having purchased a new Cedar Creek with hydraulic slides; I decided to try it out at home. First I had to find the manual that I had glanced at but never really read. After a short thirty minute search I found it. The section on manually moving the slides seemed easy enough " On the end of the pump is a plastic sticker, remove the sticker exposing an opening for an Allen wrench, insert the wrench, turn and the slides will move." I decided to try it. Found the pump with the sticker. Bad news, the pump was mounted with only an inch of clearance between the end and the compartment wall. Forty minutes and much cussing later I had removed the screws securing the pump including the two that were blind and could only be removed by feel, and rotated the pump so it faced the compartment door. I was ready now. I inserted the wrench and started turning. Nothing happened. I turned some more, faster, still nothing. I decided to try my ratchet. Didn't have an Allen to socket adapter, off to Lowe's. Don't sell individually have to buy a set of five. Back home, insert it in the pump and start ratcheting. After 5 minutes I thought I saw some movement but was probably just sweat dripping in my eyes. I finally wised up and energized the pump while watching the end. Holy Cow, that thing was rotating at at least 200 RPM. With the ratchet I was maybe getting 10 RPM at best. This wasn't going to work. Time to break out the cordless drill. Of course with the position of the pump in the compartment the drill wouldn't line up. However, all was not lost, after another 30 minutes of searching I found my flex adapter that obviously someone else had misplaced and was finally able to make the connection between the drill and the pump. When I squeezed the trigger and saw the slides start to move, I was one happy guy. My equipment is now stored in the pump compartment and I always take my drill with a fresh battery and a spare. The point is don't just read but actually try it out at home before you need to do it. With my luck it would have been at night in a rain storm when I actually needed the procedure. Amen...

Tailer tire temps

So driving down I-75 south of of Tampa 81' sunny and I took the tire temp and they were 121' on the sun side and 107' on the shade. Running at 62 or so with 225/75/15 E at 80lbs. Rear axle weights are 8975 for all four. Is this normal for this size tire or do I have to worry on the return trip. Thanks Joe

RE: Goodyear G Blowouts

Most blowouts are caused by underinflated tires. Not the tires fault. Or, hitting road debris. Also not the tires fault. ANY tire will have a certain number of failures. I 2nd that thought as any tire will let go if not maintain. But like any other tire post this will grow with a life of it own on Japan bombs and what not...

RE: Generator Exhaust

When I installed my generator in our fifth wheel, I ran the exhaust all the way to the rear of the coach, 42' of pipe. I also use a Gen-Turi for extra assurance. 42 feet of pipe? do you have any problems with back pressure on the genny.

RE: I never thought CW would let me down this bad.

Just remember the last time you went into or called a CW store and the service that you received. And think that you are going to deal with a person that was more then likely a USED Car Salesmen before he came there. Now that's got to give you nightmares... I have been to both CW's in NJ and both have been very friendly and accomadating. This is based on walk in parts buying and also talking to a salesman about a fifth wheel. Very accomadating and no high pressure tactics. NJ Rver this is more about the St. Augustine Fl CW and having made a larger purchase there my self (85K) on used Class A I found the same problem. Have since purchase a 5er from Lakewood it seems to follow the same game plan. There still should be some accounting from the dealer for the product that they sell even after you sign that piece of paper. I hope you also read my 1st post of my dealing with St. Aug Fl too.
