We spent the weekend at Cardinal Center. The weather turned out much better than was anticipated. It only rained during the night Friday. There were probably 6 other campers there. I do feel the end of camping season coming...:(

Dan (Blue Max) Please accept my two cents worth on the discussions about sanctioned/unsanctioned, rally signs and dangles, t-shirts etc. We were among the original attendees at Baylor Beach several moons ago. When Steve and Larry first put the rally online, the intention was simple. To gather a group of people who enjoyed camping and making new camping friends. There was no talk of organizing anything. Thanks to both Steve and Larry for taking the leap to start the Ohio Rally. Someone (Greg) said in the very beginning not to
make things complicated, just keep it simple. I don't believe people host
rallies for a "dangle." I think their intentions are simple, to enjoy camping with friends. Let's tread lightly on these "issues" so as not to lose sight of the original goal. My vote is to drop the sanction designation, t shirts and the dangles. Let's just go back to the simple approach. Life's short, relax and enjoy your friends. BTW, I have great memories of the original rally at Baylor. I remember everyone mingling, reluctant to leave their new
friends and someone with a coffee pot going around filling coffee cups. I sat
back and watched this little "neighborhood" and smiled. It was truly simple and heartwarming. Linda

Ohio Rally, Annual Spring Rally April 30 - May 2, 2010
As we battle the impending winter weather, thoughts turn to spring!
Our annual spring rally will be held at Cardinal Center CG, 616
State Route 61, p.o. box 247, Marengo, Ohio 43334.
Phone 419-253-0800. Cardinal Center is conveniently located at
exit 140 of I-71.
Jenna is holding 30 large pullthru, full hookup, 30/50 service sites for us until March 15, 2010. To reserve your site you will need to secure your reservation with a deposit for one night. The office will be open Tuesday and Friday during the winter season.
The charge will be $34/night. If we have 25 or more the price will
be $33.
We will have an outdoor pavillion for our group with indoor room available for inclement weather.
Cardinal Center has an indoor pool, horseshoe pits, trapshooting facility, game room with pool table and a playground area for children. There are cabins available on the grounds. Call for
rates. No pets or smoking allowed in cabins.
The theme for this rally will be Cinco De Mayo. If there is enough
interest, I am thinking of hosting a wine and cheese tasting party
Saturday afternoon. Let me know what you think. Hope to see you

A big thunderstorm passed thru Central Ohio at 7 am. The weatherman is saying there will be more later. Glad we didn't have plans to camp this weekend. Once in a while you have to take a weekend to do jobs around the house :( Let it rain now, we want good weather for Mohican. I'm feeling summer slipping
away.......ugh.

It was a relaxing rally at Bear Creek. It is true that the campground numbers were confusing and the dinner was a disappointment but true to form, this group took it all in stride and made the best of it. Despite a couple of problems, the real pleasure was in camping with a group small enough to bond

Happy July 4th Everyone! We're enjoying a nice quiet weekend at Cardinal
Center. BTW, they are planning a nice Halloween celebration at Cardinal
Center for the weekend of October 16th if anyone's interested. We will be
here. I will be helping a group to plan the activities for the weekend.

Hey Robin, is there any chance of getting more of the Rump Bumpin' t-shirts
this year? We thought they were great...loved the target on the back. I don't want you to go to alot of trouble though. Would anyone else want them
