RE: Lets GO RED WINGS!!!

I have learned to never count out the Wings. Fantastic front office lead by Kenny Holland. Outstanding draft choices ex. Zetterberg. Datsyuk, Franzen, etc. That being said, I just wish they had more North American players. I kinda miss the Stevie Y & Jacques Demers days.... Nothing wrong with Sid the Kid, except maybe whines a bit too much to the referees on the ice. By the way, I watched it last night on Hockey Night in Canada, eh!!! Detroit has had some great draft choices, and since they have not missed the playoffs in 18 years they never get high draft choices. some of their first and second round choices have been good, but they have got some very good picks late in the draft, I dont think there is a team in any sport who drafts better. Thomas Holmstrom, picked 257 Pavel Datsyuk, picked 171 Henrik Zetterberg, picked 210 Johan Franzen, picked 97 Darren Helm, picked 132 and the last player drafted in the 2002 draft at 291, Jonathan Erricsson.

RE: Generator recomendations

If i am not mistaken kipor does not make a 3500 anymore. I looked at their website and the 3000 is only a 2800 continous. I might consider a kipor if it were a true 3000. The kipor 3000 is the same as the 3500 they used to make, both generator were rated at 2800 watts and have a surge for up to 3000 watts up to 30 minutes (same as the honda eu3000) they just called it a 3500 for reasons unknown. Just read the specs of a Honda EU2000, it's rated for 1600 watts (but honda says that you can run it for 30 minutes at 2000 watts.

RE: New Kipor generator KGE3000THi

Coast has been the distributor of kipor generators for the last couple of years and handles the warranties, but I think they only handle the 1000 watt, 2000 watt, 3000 watt, and 6000 watt inverter generators, and does not distribut the 2600 watt 3000 models, these are bought and sold by independent sellers, so I think you would have to go back to them for any repairs or warranty work.

RE: Honeywell Inverter Generators

Lets all keep in mind that the poster lives in Canada, and that the price of the Honeywell is $1000 less than the Honda is up their. Sure he could spend hundreds to come down here and buy a honda for just under $300 more, but than he would have no warranty on it up in Canada. Does Honda think that everybody is rich up there?:E

RE: Honeywell Inverter Generators

If you check the Yamaha site, the 2800 yam is 60 db's no load and 67db's full load so I was little off. If the 2000 watt honeywell is 65db's at full load, it could be a little more than twice as loud as a 2000 watt Honda at idle, but at full load the Honda would be at 58db's, which would not be "perceived" as half as loud of 65db's.

RE: Honeywell Inverter Generators

65db is LOUD!!!! About 2 1/3 times as loud as a Honda! :E Read on this forum many times that 3db's is twice the sound power, but 10db's is twice as loud to the human ear, look it up. One thing I never see on this forum is people posting about their open frame 68db's yamaha EF2800 inverter generator and never being bashed about how loud it is, must be a red or blue only thing.

RE: Honeywell Inverter Generators

I also find that most if not all of these rv generators are built in China, and am not sure where in this country one can find a Honda for 895, try 1700 bucks. many buyers get a Honda 2000 for that price from Wise Sales, Alamia and others. I have read from many forum members from Canada about the high price of honda's up there, at one time you could buy a Kipor for around 50% of the price of a honda (I paid less than $800 with shipping for my 3000 watt kipor) but since then the price has realy gone up to around 75% of the honda for the 3000 watt model, and around 95% for the 2000 watt model, but they still seem to be around 50% of the price of the honda up in Canada, does honda think you are all rich uo there?

RE: Kipor 3000/3500 Problem Idle

How do you know the carb is clean? did you take it all apart and clean it? I have read on the forum about this problem with the honda's, and the cuase always seemed to be a dirty carb, most that posted about this problem with their honda's also stated that if they did not open the choke all the way open after warmup, that it would run smother, try running it with a choke a little closed, and if this helps, I would say something is gumed up in the carb.

RE: Yamaha vs. Honda

depends on what you want to run, and do you want to spends around $1800 for the Honda's and the homemade parallel kit, or around $1100 for the Yamaha.

RE: Advice on a generator

As a poster stated aboce, champion seems to have a very good track record, and if your sure you will not need to run your air, you can go with the 1200/1500 watt champion for $199, and it weighs under 70 pounds. I think about the lowest price you can find on the 3500/4000 watt model is around $369 right now. The smaller champion

RE: Eu2000 parallel specs

I thought it was 4000 watt surge (maybe up to 30 minutes) and 3200 watts rated.
