RE: Ford Super Duty shocks
I put Bills on the back of my F 250 and am thinking about taking the loss and throwing them in the scrap metal and putting on something like monroe or racho. I think the yellow paint on the Bills have hypnotized the users. :h
I agree with you. I have an 05 F250 that has bilsteins and they're pretty much to firm/harsh for everyday driving. I've had quite a few vehicles that have had bilsteins and the only time they seemed not harsh was when the springs on the vehicle were already pretty soft. I had an 02 F250 that had Monroe Reflex on the front and few iterations of shocks on the rear(Monrow Reflex, stock, RS9000). The RS9000 set on 1 by far offered the smoothest ride.
RE: Charging 6 Volt Batteries
Just so you know there is a specific terminal to hook up when using a 12 volt charger and running two 6 volt batteries. You have to use the terminal that isn't connected to the other batteries opposite terminal. One + terminal will connect to the - terminal of the other battery when running two 6 volts on a 12 volt system. Don't use that terminal to charge. Use the other postive terminal of the one battery and negative of the other. I first hooked up my solar battery charger to find it didn't charge and when I payed closer attention I had used the + terminal of one battery that leads to the - terminal of the other. I assume this would just short the charger since the + and - of the charger are esstentially touching via that "crossover" wire.
