What to do with bicycles?

Hello All, I have a bit of a dilema here, I currently have a class C Fleetwood Jamboree, 24 foot and tow a Saturn Vue, on the rear of the Vues receiver hitch, I have a lift for my wife's wheelchair, we would like to take our bicycles with us, but no idea where to put them. Do they make a rack for the front of a 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree on a E-450 Chassis? Any other ideas? Thanks all in advance Rick

Installing new TV on Fleetwood 24D

Hello All, I have a 2006 Fleetwood 24D that me and my wife purchased new. The first question I have is it has a CRT TV that only operates on shore power 120VAC, how do I tell if it is Digital ready? If it is not a digital TV, I would like to replace it with a LED with a 12 VoltDC TV, but cannot find on anywhere. Any ideas how to mount it? the current CRT TV is mounted on the right hand side of the overhead and on a type of pedistol that reminds me of a lazy susan and then the TV is strapped down around it. How would I mount a thin LED TV? Thanks all and I hope I explained this properly Rick

Generator problem

Hello All, I was hoping to get some advice on a problem I am having with my Onan 4K generator that is on board my 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree. Me and my wife went dry camping this Past Weekend in Malibu, this is our first time dry camping, so we do notg have much experience with thisw, we normally stay in a park with full hook ups, anyhow, I run the generator Monthly for at least an hour, under load to keep things lubed and exercised. The night before we ran the generator a few hours to charge the batteries on the coach without any problems, I turned it off for the evening and when waking up in the morning, it was overcsast, wet and cold and the generator had a error with 3 flashes, I looked in my Onan manual and it said to get the extended failure code to hit the stop switch, which I did, and I got 3 quick flases, then a pause, and then 5 more flashes, which continued to loop, or reoccur. It would not even try to start, just continue to flash this code. Well, as the day wore on and the sun came out and everything was dry again the generator fired right up, without issue, this exact same thing happened the next morning as well, which was also cold and damp. Any ideas????? I am completely stumped, oh yes, the batteries in both the coach and chassis were at the 3/4 mark on the console. Thanks in advance, Rick

RE: Battery leaking

Hello All, My 2 6 volt batteries are not sealed, they are the original trojans that came with the rig (Coach) It very well could be water as I keep the rig on a piece of rubber matting to try and keep the tires fresher. I live in Southern cal and the Coach is aalways inside the barn, nice and warm always, I have never camped anywhere near freezing. I will try the baking soda on the solution on the ground. Thanks, Rick

RE: Battery leaking

Sorry All, Let me try to start again. When I arrived to my barn today to get my RV out of storage for a trip tomorrow, I noticed under the steps to enter the Coach, there was battery acid under where the house batteries are located. I have 2- 6volt batteries in series on the coach and 1 chassis battery that is 12 volts. I keep a Interstae battery tender (NOT charger) that is being run from my barns 110 source to the tender. The RV is not connected to any shore power, only the tender that is run with an extension cord to the wall of my barn. I just read my RV owners manual and indeed the house batteries will charge when the chassis battery is being charged, what I do not understand is how a little tender with 1/2 amp current can boil the water out of my chassis batteries? My chassis battery is sealed, where the coach batteries have caps, what am I doing wrong? The batteries in the entire RV are all 6 years old, and all hold an excellent charge still. Rick

RE: Battery leaking

Sorry for the incorrect info, the chassis is 1 12 volt battery and the coach is 2-6 volt batteries, the water I saw on the ground was maybe a quart, but the battery tender was on the chassis battery (12 Volt) and no shore power connected, except to the Interstate battery tender (1/2 amp), I guess the question I have is how can the chassis batteries be overflowing? and maybe why? Rick

RE: Battery leaking

Oh Yea, the batteries are original 6 volt trojans in series been there since 2006, they continue to maintain a good charge. I thought that with a tender on the chassis battery only, the coach batties would not even be charging, once again, I am not on shore power. Rick

RE: Battery leaking

I am not on shore power, I have the chassis battery on a battery tender, .5 (1/2) amp Battery tender Rick

Battery leaking

Hello All, I just went to my barn to get my RV and noticed the water from my chassis batteries on the ground??? When I have the RV in storage, I hook up a Interstae Battery tender to the chassis battery, could this be overcharging the coach batteries somehow and making them boil? Thanks in advance, Rick

How to plumb vent line?

Hello All, I wrote a while back to explain that whenever I fill my fresh water tank on my 2006 Fleetwood jamboree, going down the road I loose water like crazy, even if the fresh water tank is only half full, someone here wrote to check the vent, I have located the fresh water tank under my dinnette, very easy acess, now what do I do, should the vent be all the way at the top of the tank, at the bottom?? I honestly do not know, any help would be greatly appreciated Rick
