RE: Help - A/C Problem?

:h Can anyone steer me in the right direction to take next? Try Seafoam? Try Hard-Start Mod.? Take it to a dealer? :( Anything else? One more shot - fishing for help from the A/C gods.

For me - can't beat the little 3/4hp 125 Craftsman : http://s.sears.com/is/image/Sears/00915215000-2?hei=248&wid=248&op_sharpen=1&resMode=sharp&op_usm=0.9,0.5,0,0 Works great for my 19.5's @ 95 PSI. Fits perfect in my compartment. You can usually find it on sale for $99.00

RE: Help - A/C Problem?

Mr.Wizard, Probably really dumb question but- When people talk about running Sea-Foam thru the genny, the Sea-Foam is added to MH's gas tank correct?? There is no way to just run it through the genny is there? So Hard-Start Mod. may be worth a try?

RE: Help - Roof AC shutting down

It's a coleman mach 15k model 8335 It will run fine for a while and then cause the breaker to trip or if I have it running on generator it will bog the generator down enough to cause it to shut down. It is the only thing running when the generator is running. If I let it sit for a few minutes, it will start again and may go for another hour or it may go all day without a repeat. Any clues on why or what may be the cause? Hey CT, Did you resolve your a/c problem??? I'm having a similiar problem with mine.

RE: Help - A/C Problem?

Does anyone think that taking a shot at the Hard Start Capacitor MOD would be a possible soloution to this problem?? :?

RE: Help - A/C Problem?

Ok - Checked out the volts at the kitchen plug: Plugged into stick house (20amp) 115-118 volts & then 102-105 volts when A/C is turned on. Plugged into Genny 131-135 volts & then 126-128 volts when A/C is turned on. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? A/C blows cold air, but just sounds like it's straining/surging? :h

RE: Help - A/C Problem?

You may get better answers if you state what size & brand of A/C and generator you have. Jim, "Mo' coffee!" You're right Jim! Onan Emerald Plus 4000 & a 15,000 ducted Duo-Therm Quite Cool.

RE: Help - A/C Problem?

sounds like you need to check the quality of your power from the genset. i use the good govener that i got a camping world that plugs into an outlet and tells me the voltage and frequency of what my power is. otherwise you will need a meter, and it sounds like you don't have one. steve Steve, I think that I can check it out tonight. My dad's better with electrical than I am and he has one of those dial test meters with the black & red probes. I'm assuming to check this, I'd start genny, let warm up, get a reading from an outlet, start A/C, get another reading from an outlet??

Garmin updating?

I updated a C330 & my 650 this weekend. Downloaded the Garmin updater, communicator, and POI loader. All seemed to work fine with both units. I tried downloading a couple of custom POI's for the first time and both now have a couple custom POI's on them. My question is: When the 650 is connected with USB cable, my computer shows it as another network drive. I can click on that drive and see the POI files that I added (I can then delete them if I wanted to). However, when the C330 is connected it doesn't show up as another drive? Does this mean whatever is added to a C330 could not be removed??

Help - A/C Problem?

Seem to be having some sort of A/C problem. A/C will run and blow cold air, but sounds pretty loud and seems to be struggling. This runs on shore power and will also run off the genny, but seems to bog the genny down. At some point it actually stalls out and kills the genny. It has popped the breaker at the breaker box and even the 12V breaker in the engine compartment (shutting off all 12V accessories in the rig). I went up on the roof and removed the A/C shroud but nothing looked overly dirty or clogged. I hate electrical and no clue when it comes to the A/C. Any suggestions on troubleshooting (to save a trip to a dealer) would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Problem connecting to websites?

Well not sure what really happened, but tried turning off AVG "linkscanner" and it connected. I'm not sure if that is what really helped though, because I turned it back on and it still connected? Oh well, it's working now. I guess it was just one of those little glitches out there in internet space!

RE: You guys were right

Would you expand on the advantages that you found??? My 30' no-slide gasser will last us for quite awhile, but I'm starting to look a few years down the road for what my perfect retirement rig might be. Class A gasser, DP, or maybe a Super C ???

RE: Problem connecting to websites?

Shutting off defender and firewall didn't help. Where is the remote access settings & why would that prevent site from loading?
