RE: Are the six point level systems worth it?

Our last toyhauler (KZ Inferno) did not have the auto level. Our current toyhauler (Voltage EPIC) has it = would never buy a unit without it again! Very easy to setup - my hubby is anal about the unit being completely level and used to run around with a manual level - which took way too much time!

RE: Wooden Camping Signs - Family names

Had ours made at Knoebels (Catawissa Pa) as well. Bet they could add on or at the very least, make an entire new one. Good Luck!

RE: Looking for inovative ideas for auxillary fuel tank???

We just installed the RDS 45 gallon gravity feed tank. Easy to install and works just as advertised. We ordered from Amazon, thru Northern Tool.

RE: Toy Hauler? For extra room, but no toys to haul?

We have a Voltage 3798 toyhauler wih no toys! Our last unit was a KZ Inferno toyhauler..again...no toys! We upgraded to the toyhauler from a quad bunkhouse because we wanted more room. Two adults, four kids, and two St. Bernards. We use the garage as a family room (sliding glass doors from salon area), with the deck dropped, it is awesome. Gives us room to sleep 10, two queen size happy jac beds in garage, queen size loft, king size master, and queen air matress on couch.

RE: ST or LT tires?

I read the article in Trailer Life (more confused than ever)! I've spent a better part of the day calling around to truck companies that deal with tractor trailer tires, hoping to find some more info. What I've been told (not sure how true it is) is that the LT tire is heavier duty and that a name brand (Firestone/Goodyear)LT235/80R16 "E" would be better than than the current Akuret ST235/80R16 "E" tires that are on the unit now. We do not have the money right now to go to new rims and bigger tires (not even sure if they would fit). Any thoughts?

ST or LT tires?

Hi all... We have a 2012 Voltage 3795 that has already "lost" two of the factory tires. The first one developed a bulge on the sidewall - so we replaced it. The second just had tread seperation (while we were driving on the interstate). Thinking of replacing all six tires (and the spare) with new ones. Our local tire centers have "house" brands (which scare me), most have stopped selling the Good Year Marathon because of failure, and I'm not reading rave reviews on the Carlisle (which we had with no incidents on our first travel trailer). I guess my question is...what tire is good for such a heavy unit (19,000lbs). Seems I hear a lot of failures on ST (trailer tires), but minimal on LT (ligth truck tires). Can I use LT tires on this trailer? BTW..hubby is overly anal about tire pressue (we carry a compressor and he checks each time before the trailer moves.

RE: Are the 2013 voltage any better than the 2011/2012's ?

We have a 2012 Voltage 3795 with the Epic Package. The items we have had issues with have been covered under warranty. We have found Dutchmen very easy to deal with and responsive to any questions we have had. We purchased our unit thru Camping World.

RE: RDS Auxilary Fuel Tank

Wow everyone...thanks so much for the replies! Ordering the 45 gallon RDS tonight and hoping to have it installed for our first "long" trip of the season! Happy RVing and thanks for the help!

RDS Auxilary Fuel Tank

Anyone have any experience with an RDS Auxilary Fuel Tank? Looking at their 45 gallon tank and diesel kit to install on our 2011 GMC 3500 dually.

RE: shoulder belt for front-middle bench seat?

On our last Ford pickup, we bought a five point harness seatbelt from a company that sold racing gear. Installed easily (and was probably the safest seatbelt in the truck). Not overly comfortable to wear, but a better option than a lap belt.

RE: Lake George RV Park - Saratoga Springs, NY

Awesome campground! Don't miss the shows they have - free and really good! We stayed in the lower part of the park, near indoor pool and theatre. Can take trolley to upper part of park.

Campground with waterpark PA/NJ/MD/VA

Looking for a campground in the Pa/NJ/MD/VA area that has a waterpark. We have stayed at Yogi Mill Run, Yogi Quarryville, Yogi Luray, and Bethpage. Kids love the water! Any other ones out there you can recommend? Thanks!

RE: Looking for a Good CG near Washington DC?

We stayed at Cherry Hill Campground as well. We went for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The bus stop at the campground was great, it takes you into town, where you catch the Metro into DC. They sell tokens/passes right at the campground. Very friendly staff and nice clean campground!

RE: Lake George area transportation

The shuttle was a very easy way to get into town, agreed that it was a bit slow, but hey, you're on vacation and our four kids LOVED it. There are also bike trails that go into the town (fun family ride). The Lake George RV Park is a bit pricey, but it is AMAZING! They have professional shows (included) at the campground, so we were able to justify spending the extra money to go there.

RE: knoebles or lake glory campground

We stay at Lake Glory (owned by Knoebels) several times a year. A VERY basic campground, but clean and have a free shuttle bus to the the park. We are too big to easily fit into Knoebel's campground (except for the few new spots they opened within the past year or so). We have stayed at J&D as well, which is very nice, but doesn't have the shuttle.

RE: Recommended CG near Lake George NY??

We stayed at Lake George RV Park (it was beautiful!). Lots of amazing entertainment - we saw several shows (included), enjoyed the multiple pools, and used the trolley to go into town. http://www.lakegeorgervpark.com/Amenities/Index.cfm

RE: SE PA/DE/E MD families?

We live outside of Philadelphia. We camp with our four girls (ages 7, 10, 15, and 15). Lots of "local" trips to Pittsburgh, Lancaster, Cape May, and usually a farther one into Va. Would love to meet up. Nancy

RE: Cape May, Wildwood Crest, NJ campgrounds

We stay at Beachcomber every year. Nice lake and pool - right next to each other. Seashore is also very nice, fenced lake and pool - just a little walk down the road. Beachcomber is gravel/sand. Seashore is paved (nicer for bike riding).
