RE: Poor Performance from Club Chair...

I will offer this to Ken, but cannot guarantee that it will be any faster. Ken mentions that he has a planned trip on the 21st, so he might need some other stuff for the trip also :) and could browse the shelves while he's there!

RE: Poor Performance from Club Chair...

Not to be a pain in the arse, but does anyone from CW know when the Club Chairs will be off back-order and will be available for pick-up at local locations?
TIA
Ken
We've been told by the vendor that the earliest we'll receive these chairs to our warehouse is 9/5. At that point it will take about 5 days for them to arrive to stores. I'm sorry, I really wish we had these in stock too because I know we could be selling them right now. There were delays at the factories along with the fact that our sales of this item exceeded our inventory forecast tremendously.

Hi Ken, We'll find out today. Last I'd heard the container load was still on the water and was to hit port soon. We'll get you a better ETA soon.

RE: Poor Performance from Club Chair...

Left a message with a CW CS rep and hope to hear back from them in a few days.
Had sent 2 PM's to JeanS, one on 8/11 and another on 8/20, and neither have been read according to the status.
Kind of interesting that nobody from CW has commented on my pictures and my observations on the construction differences.
:)
Hi Mr. White,
I really have no reference regarding your issue. Please send me an email to nscott@campingworld.com with your concerns, and I'll make sure they get addressed.

RE: Favorite CW product complaint

I bought a Brinkman "3 burner Tailgate Grill" for $185.00 at my La Mirada Camping World. The sales guy Gus said everything that I needed was in the box..and he also said "it's so easy to assemble that even my 7 year old kid can do it!"
When we got it home, it was abundently aparent that is was going to be a very difficult assembly, lots of parts! I called the Camping World and asked for Gus...and explained that we were unable to get it assembled.
I then asked him if he happened to have the his child handy to assemble our grill or at least ask the kid for advise...and Gus hung up! Now he won't return my calls....
Not very good customer service in my opinion!
;)
I agree. We will address this with our VP of Retail and make sure your call gets answered right away. There's no reason that you should have been hung up on nor should your calls be ignored.

RE: iNTERNET oRDER tRACKING

That's odd. After I place an order online and I get the email telling me that it's shipped I can go online and find out who the carrier is and track my order. Sign in to CW and pull down the menu under your name (upper left corner, Hi Christopher! in my case) and click Order Status. Select your Order #. You get a rundown of the order and at the bottom it gives you the Shipping Address and Shipping Method, all the info you're looking for.
This is correct. The system should also include a link to UPS so that you can see exactly where the package is in transit. If this isn't working or you are unable to see your tracking info send me an email, and I'll have it researched.
The only exception to this is when an order/item is being shipped directly from the supplier. Most of them do not provide us with their shipping manifest information so that we can provide that level of detail on your order history after logging into your online account.

RE: Poor Performance from Club Chair...

Marcus,
Please consider selling this line of chairs: http://www.alpsoutdoorz.com/outdoorz/products/chairs
I own a pair of the Camp Chairs. They're wide, super stable, and support 425 lbs. The mesh allows them to dry out quickly after a rain.
Even their Directors Chair supports 300 lbs. Look at your customer base. Many of us did not give up our mid-life spread. Well built, high weight capacity is a must.
It's my opinion that if you took the MSRP and added CW's markup that the chairs would still sell. The quality of the product is that good.
Hi gotsmart,
We do in fact sell this line of chairs online. We haven't started carrying them in stores yet, and are offering them online as a test to see how well they perform. You can take a look here:

RE: This is a sale????

now I have another reason NOT to buy from CW. Monkey in monkey out
Old Guy, I'm in charge of these forums (short of Marcus of course). We use these specific areas of the site to get feedback regarding our business and how we can make it better. It's very frustrating for me realizing how much work and effort we pour into this business to see your negative comments on many different threads. I, along with the rest of this great RV community who are committed to making things better get it, you don't like us very much, and probably because of a poor experience at some point. Is there anything reasonable I can do to change your attitude about our company?
If you don't want to share in this public medium, and give us a chance to fix the problem, then feel free to private message me or email me directly at nscott@campingworld.com.

RE: This is a sale????

There's something wrong with the price file that we received. I will honor the $9.99 price. Yes, these things also happen in Arkansas, I've shopped wal-mart before :) PM me your phone number and I'll have someone call to accept your order.

RE: Camping world service?

I'm not trying to bash CW I like what I've gotten from them and I just am asking a question concerning things I've seem on this forum and what I was told by an employee at CW. I mean really if there's a problem I would think I'd like to know about it if I were in management.
hreck,
I totally apologize for you being told to take your RV elsewhere for service. That's not the kind of employee that we want in our company. Would you kindly send me the location where this occurred? Simply PM me with the location name so that this can be addressed immediately. We are striving to provide you with nothing but the absolute best service and shopping experiences with our organization, and I can assure you that Marcus and the rest of his team are reading these forums and comments daily. We are having regular conversations about these topics and are working very hard to address your issues.

RE: camping world mailout

We just received a camping world ad in the mail. It had a great deal on Truvision wiper blades. The add shows 32" #32180. I'm thinking that the #32180 is a camping world stock #. We need truvision 8-32
We looked online, and it doesn't show what the truvision # is.
We called, no help.
Can anyone tell me how to determine the truvision model #
We tried the configure button, but does not give us our year, Bounder 2009
I'm very sorry for the confusion on our website. We're going to update this section immediately. I cross referenced TV8-32 to Camping World's part number 38260 - WIPER 32" J HK. Until we get the website updated, you're better off ordering this wiper by calling us at 1-888-626-7576. Tell them that you're a Good Sam member and you're entitled to free shipping per Neal Scott. Sorry again.
Thank you for your reply, very helpful. Although the one we need is not included in the bogo sale, at least now we know which one to order in the future.
Did you speak with a customer service rep at the number I referenced, and they told you that? I will honor the BOGO offer for you. Want me to have someone call you to accept the order? If so, send me a private message with your phone number.

RE: Low Clearances Program

Hi PastorCharlie,
Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the Delorme systems. You're correct that there are still several low clearance bridges, and you have to be very careful. Camping World doesn't have any software for your GPS to address this. There are several databases available with the coordinates of these low clearances. You may be able to import one of those databases into your device. The only information I was able to find regarding the import of data was on the Delorme support site here: http://support.delorme.com/WebHelp/topo9/delorme_help/p_using_the_draw_tools/1_draw_file_management/importing_files_to_draw_files.htm
Sorry I wasn't able to help more.

RE: Mr. Lemonis- Price Guarantee????

All, I apologize for a delayed response as I usually hang out over the the CW Accessories forum. We appreciate everyone's input here. We also appreciate everyone's patronage, including the OP, to The Good Sam Club, Camping World, and RV.net forums here. We will review our pricing policy and work to make it much more clear. We do not have a price matching policy against other online retailers. Daily deals conducted online, auction sites (both new & used products), & pure play online dropship websites with no inventory risk make this practice impossible for us. Amazon in fact doesn't inventory a great deal of the items that they have available for sale on their site, and they use distributors for this purpose. These competitors also don't have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, nor a call center that you can call and speak to a real human being. These things really add up and are reflected in our prices including the expenses associated with returns due to a remorseful purchase decisions. OP, if you wish, you can email me directly at nscott@campingworld.com, and tell me what I should do to make you 100% satisfied as promised, I will do my very best.

RE: Speedy Delivery by Camping World

Last Friday I ordered a surge protector and the lockable hasp because it was free with purchase, then on Saturday I was in my local CW and I could have brought it home for the same price....here it is Tuesday and when I try to track my order it does not show that it was shipped just on reserve. I ordered a Jack Antenna from another company on Sunday night and I will have it delivered in the morning.....I guess I did not hold my mouth right when I placed my order with CW. I had trouble with a GPS I ordered back in Jan. and it was a couple of weeks before I got it.....
Mr. Vaughn, I want to figure out what's going on and fix it immediately. I sent you a private message asking for more detail about your order and account that we don't want to share on this public forum.

RE: Not getting item out of stock till after order placed!

MemoryRoads,
No excuses, just policy changes, and results. The inventory ping was looking at a recall that had been placed for stores to ship remaining inventory back to our distribution centers on the trucks returning from store replenishment. We are releasing a site update in the next few minutes that will ignore that inventory recall quantity from stores, and will display the back-order notification.
Hope this helps temporarily until we can get a more permanent rock-solid solution in place.

RE: Comcast Blocking Camping World Emails

Yes, this is an issue that we're aware of. We are working with a deliverability team who has a relationship with Comcast in hopes that they can figure out the issue very soon. We have been required along with other retailers who send bulk email to only send to people who have clicked an email campaign within the past 6 months to keep our list fresh, and some of them have even threatened to block all of our mail if we don't abide by these rules. This may have something to do with the Comcast block. If you could PM me the email address that you have subscribed with, we will be able to research the issue further.
