ReneeG's route x2 we have driven it many times with a 35 ft V-10 MH towing a Dodge Dakota. If time allows there is a great little Dinosaur museum in Price that's well worth the stop and plenty of parking. Have fun

RE: Near Portland, OR

We used Roamer's Rest in Tualatin 2 years ago an ok FH park in town about 20 min to downtown Portland also close to all atractions zoo,the meseum on the river etc. all not more than 20 mins its a little steep at the check in area for parking but they let you go to your site then come back to check in the sites were fairly tight but clean a good park for being in the city. On the east side of town there is a very nice park Portland Fairview in Fairview a little further from all the attractions but very nice. On the way down you could stop in Astoria Astoria/Warrenton Seaside KOA a nice large FH park lots to see in the general area and easy day trip down the coast although you can spend a couple days just in this area. Have fun

RE: Sacramento CA to Bishop CA

If taking I-80 to Reno it is all 4 lane Hwy. If taking 50 to Carson City it is 4 lanes to Bridal Vail Falls just a few miles passed Pollock Pines then mostly 2 lanes with passing lanes every few miles and a fairly narrow steep down grade from Echo Summit to Myers. Then there is the traffic through South Lake Tahoe that said it is doable. 80 through Reno and 580/395 south from Reno to Carson City is now a 4 lane freeway and 395 south is a very good 2 to 4 lanes all the way to Bishop with many camp sites forest and private. Have fun

RE: Route Suggestions, Laughlin, NV to Portland, Or

If staying in Susanville back up to 395 5 miles then north to Alturas west 299 18 miles to 139 north to Klamath Falls north 97 then you can cut over to I-5 on a number of routes if in a hurry 58 to Eugene or continue to Bend and 20/126 thru Sisters and 22 To Salem or continue 97 from Bend to 26 to Gresham. Our perferied route is 20/126 and 22.Unless you must stay in Susanville There is a RV Park in Standish rated 7/9.5/9. Places we have stayed these routes Klamath Falls KOA,Scandia Bend, Bend/Sisters Garden one of our favorites all full hook up parks. Have fun

RE: Best Route for Tucson to Vegas and where to stay

I would take the 95 to Reno 395 north to A9 just passed the Honey lake rest area for 9 miles north towards Standish back to 395 north to Alturas west 299 18 miles to 139 north to Klamath Falls north 97 to 58 west to I-5 at Eugene or at Klamath Falls you could continue 97 to Bend west 20 t0 126 north 22 to Salem a little slower route but a pretty drive. Places we have stayed this route many parks in Reno to choose Grand Sierra is ok Klamath Falls KOA and on the alt.route Bend/Sisters Garden RV Resort this one is very good a 10 in my book. Have fun

RE: Best Route for Tucson to Vegas and where to stay

We go I-10 to the 101 freeway in Phoenix north a few miles to 60 north to Wickenburg north 93 to I-40 west to Kingman 18 miles north 93 to Vegas.I-10 to Phoenix is 2 to 4 lane freeway all the way with heavy traffic just stay in right lane behind a truck and relax at Phoenix get in the middle lane to the 101 freeway. 60 north is now a good 2 to 4 lane road through town and the traffic lights are set to the speed limit so no problem.60 north and 93 is mostly a good 2 to 4 lane road to Kingman and 93 to Vegas is a 2 lane road and you no longer go over the dam because of the new bridage. We stay at the Oasis in Vegas. Have fun

Junction KOA,old KOA in Fort Stockton,KOA in Van Horn are all FH parks we have stayed at between San Antonio and Las Cruces. There is also a small RV park at the caves in Sonora a couple miles off I-10 but the caves are worth it. There is also a park at Ozona we also stopped here for a night it's ok for an overnight stop there is a truck stop cafe across the street for food and gas, there are plenty of small towns for fuel. Have fun
