RE: Mobile Suite experience in 3 months

One thing I didn't mention was that DRV has been shutting down during the Chrismas season. I don't know if they are still doing it

RE: Mobile Suite experience in 3 months

You need to get a hold of Tom Peck at 260-562-1075. Or email at tompeck@drvsuites.com. Tom is good at solving DRV problems. You will need your trailer number. It will be on your hitch usuall in white paint. You have a great unit and DRV has been know to stand behind their stuff. Good Luck.

RE: leveling camper

sista, What gmg said is the best way to work it. " thickness indicated on the level" is a guesstimate on how far of level you are by the bubble indication. Then you guess how much thickness you need to level it (boards to use). It comes with experience of leveling. We all go through it. Good luck.

RE: CO2 alarm

I have had a problem like that a Few times. Random alarm going off at odd times. Found out that if your house battery is low the alarm will go off as you discribed it. Check you battery level for at least 13 VDC. If it is lower than that you can have those alarms.

RE: Water Pressure

I had that problem last fall. To make a long story about all the failed attempts to fix, I ended up with taking the drain plug out of the hot water heater, draining it and the using an air pressure hose I blew out the hot water line from under the kitchen sink. That solved my problem. What ever it was was in the hot water line.

RE: Dish Network Will Not Allow RV Use???

I have had Dish for quite a few years. I got it with two receivers one for the living room and one for a bedroom. Later bought a lake cabin and moved it there myself with no problem. Later sold the cabin and got the RV and put it in there. Had to call and get it restarted when the 5th was parked at home for a few months but never had a problem getting it started when we went on the road. When it was off for a few months they would restart it where ever I was. Then when the HD thing started up I wanted to get a new receiver and antenna for HD. They wanted over $400 for the new stuff. I called them and told them that Direct was goint to set up my house and trailer with HD for free. Then they recalculated and decided that they could do it for free also. So I now have HD in the house and the 5er and I told them it was for my 5th wheel. I guess it's who you talk to.

RE: bed saver attachment

It make hookups a little tighter but it is the cheapest insurance you can get. The cost of repaires is always over $1500. Take it from someone who knows.

RE: Tread Separation

A general rule of the thumb is to think about replacing the RV tires after about four years. Sun and weather take their toll.

RE: A few questions before I sign for my 1st 5er......

My first RV was also a 37' fifth wheel. A little white knuckled driving at first and of course learning the backup process was a little troublesome but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it. My first trip was from Oklahoma to south Florida. Nice break in for the driver. Never had a problem with finding a campground that could handle a 37' rig, there are a lot of them around now. My first few trip we required pull throughs but now it makes no difference. Your truck is great for what you plan to get. As far as cost, I think you can get a better discount. I got a 12,000 discount on mine in 2005. look on the web at different dealers and let the one you are working with know that you are and don't be afraid to travel a little to get the best deal.

It sounds like you may have a grounding problem on that gfci. I would check the wiring on it.

RE: Help! Quick With Heater

There is a delay when you turn on the furnace befor the blower starts up. The blower will run for a period before it will try to ignite. you can hear the igniter click. If it doesn't click check the control board, upper left corner behind exhaust panel.

RE: Help! Quick With Heater

If the battery power is low the igniter won't fire. I also found that vibration of travel can loosen the connection on the control board in the furnace accessable behind the exaust panel. Plug was loose on the board. Just thoghts.
